I liked Wayne Shorter’s contribution best. One album I particularly like from the same period in Jazz is Jan Garbarek’s “Wayfarer” - an intense album that doesn’t come off as a demonstration of the technical prowess of the musicians which often seems to be a criticism of fusion AFAIK.
