Very sad news. I actually like her more recent stuff better, her remakes of some of the great classics. I love her crackly voice.

She was awesome.  I was so sad when I read about this the other day.  I loved her music, and her dedication to her daughter was incredible.  Rest in Peace, Dear Phoebe.

The end of an era. I remember Miss Snow back in the 70's when she was huge! PBS was doing some simulcast musical specials in about 1978. They were broadcast on TV & on the local FM station so that we could tape the soundtrack. One hour was Phoebe & a man whose last name I've forgotten, first name David. Somewhere in obscurity, I have a cassette tape of this show. She was chatty & silly & she also sang. It was an amazing show. I still remember most of it to this day. And what a wonderful person. She did make the only choice she could have made. She will be missed.

I remember her from the 70's.  Another great voice lost.  But just imagine the jam session going on upstairs.
