You sound a little anxious. Relax, BDSM is not going anywhere. Check out the booklist http://www.collarchat.com/m_1726118/tm.htm and spend some time on the forums. Don't let people take advantage of your naivet; while you may be submissive, it's your responsibility to chose carefully who you submit to.

You said you're in a small town. Google "BDSM munch + nearest large town/city" and consider going to a munch - just a casual dinner with friendly greeters who will make you feel comfortable. It's a great way to network and learn about BDSM.

well, if you don't do something quickly bdsm will be taxed by Dear Leader and gone forever. So grab a Master or Mistress and get going! The rodeo don't last forever, muchachette!

Welcome to CM and the boards. Steven gave you great advice. Take your time, listen to your gut instincts, don't be talked into anything you don't feel comfortable with. Meanwhile, hang around the forums, read older and newer posts and participate if you feel like it. We're, for the most part, a pretty good bunch and there's some great people to meet on this side.
