You know what I love about CM? So many dipwads think they are in charge. It's what makes all of this so dang funny. People who in real life would not be allowed to lead a one man parade on gay pride day. Go be in charge of aiming straight in the men's room for once, ok? I get this crap from these so called room "owners" too. Now that is a hoot. People that remind me of those in the post office or the DMV. So go talk about whatever you bois talk about.

You do realize that you're allowed to make your own room and own it too, don't you?

Gawd, what a country!!!!

Owner59 -> RE: Trump. Again. (4/28/2011 7:36:22 AM)

"which is a great disservice to the leftists "

No one normal talks like this.

I see a guy in his mom`s basement or attic ,alone,imagining himself as a kind of a "wile e coyote........evil genius"....[:D]

Looks like he shares an exaggerated self-importance and a hugely bloated ego with Trump.

My guess is that the donold will do lots of damage to republicans before fading off and cons will let him.Trump is no more a republican than Arnold Swarchenegger is(was) and is just shacking up with them for his own fun.The guy`s bored.

This will be a very interesting primary season.Watching them savage one another,trying to out dirty trick the other will be worth every cent they spend doing it.

You know what I love about this section of Collarme? People like you, that I get to laugh at, watch, shake my head at........and yet I don't have to be around you in person. I can just shut the computer window and POOF! you are gone.

And seriously......as much as I adore this country and how far we have come....the people in MY life and the people that I admire.......show me this every day. It is people like Trump, and those that are applauding his pathetic antics, that remind me how much we have yet to do.

As a proud American, I am certain we are up to the challenge. I hope you have insurance to cover the coronary it is certain to cause you.

But you know we are all too stupid, I mean at least we are stupid enough to know that Clinton handed over a very healthy economy, if that means lowering the bar, we need more leaders who lower the bar by giving us healthy economies, and personally I don't care who gives them BJs as long as all of them are legal and willing...

Reagan convincingly told audiences of the wonders of 20 Mule Team® Borax on the "Death Valley Days" TV series when the movie folks wouldn't hire him anymore.

No question that as qualification for the presidency, that beats the crap out of having years of experience as a practicing attorney and as a community organizer, any day of the week.

And filed bankruptcy how many times?

Headline, Nov, 22, 2004: The three Atlantic City casinos run by Donald Trump have filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. And for the second time! It takes a dedicated businessperson to run a business into the ground even once. To do so twice requires true talent, especially when nobody seems to care. See, Trump is not a casino operator, he is a celebrity. "I don't think it's a failure, it's a success," he told the Associated Press. "In this case, it was just something that worked better than other alternatives. It's really just a technical thing, but it came together."

Besides, it was just a "technical thing." I guess "technical" is a good enough explanation for the $1.8 billion in debt he had taken on. (I'd love to see President Trump call the multi-trillion national debt a "technical thing" on his watch, as it rises in the quadrillions.) Not to worry. "The future looks very good," he said in 2004. It must have looked that way at the time, as the company passed out of his control and then glided into bankruptcy for a third time in 2009. "Well, Atlantic City was hit very, very hard, as was Vegas, as is the world, to be honest with you, this country in particular," he told Fox news. Fast-forward to President Trump in 2013: "America was hit very hard, as is the world," he says, as Air Force One goes to auction on eBay(EBAY_).

Some other glorious highlights from the Trump era of American capitalism:
1. He sold junk bonds to finance his casinos and, by 1991, was so overleveraged that he was seeing his empire stripped by the banks. "Already more than $3.8 billion in the hole and sliding perilously close to a mammoth personal bankruptcy, the brash New York developer had no choice but to accept the dismantling of his vast holdings," Time magazine reported. Leave it to Trump to fail in a business that became a money machine when run by high school dropouts like Meyer Lansky.

2. In January 2002, the Securities and Exchange Commission filed cease-and-desist proceedings against Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts Inc. for making misleading statements in the company's third-quarter 1999 earnings release. "The Commission found that the release cited pro forma figures to tout the Company's purportedly positive results of operations but failed to disclose that those results were primarily attributable to an unusual one-time gain rather than to operations," said an SEC release at the time. I view this as one of Trump's most towering achievements: He actually got Harvey Pitt's SEC to do something! Just think of the kind of motivator he would be as president of the United States.

3. Trump sued journalist Timothy O'Brien for libel after his book TrumpNation: The Art of Being The Donald claimed The Donald was worth between $150 million and $250 million, and not the $5 billion to $6 billion he had claimed. In a deposition, he said his net worth "fluctuates."The suit was thrown out of court, and Trump reacted to this triumph by telling the New York Post that "we've proven our case."

4. He married a few times.

5. He got on TV a lot in his reality shows.
Which reminds me: Wouldn't it be great to have reality TV within the White House? Think of the ratings a Celebrity White House Apprentice would provide to any lucky network. And when George Washington rolls over in his grave, cameras will be present at Mount Vernon to record the moment.

The world of Trump, the condenced version.

Owner59 -> RE: Trump. Again. (4/28/2011 9:23:30 AM)

Because cons confuse ratings and money with success(see foxnews,cocaine),cons don`t mind being masturbated by Trump,as long as he appeals to the worst in them.

Louve00 -> RE: Trump. Again. (4/28/2011 11:23:43 AM)

And how about this article (or I would consider it more a comment or statement).....

"GWB never produced his long form birth certificate.  Neither did Reagan."

"You're going to double-dow
n on the conspiracy theory?  That's great!  It reminds Independent voters just how crazy you birthers are!"

"We're not laughing with you, we're laughing at you!"

There is not a single repub winner anywhere close or on the horizon. In fact you reveal celebrity worship by mentioning Trump as being any closer to 1600 Pa. Ave. than he is now.

He can't walk away from federal debt like he did his private debt. I mean he is a a true capitalist...making $billions while sticking his creditors with losing $billion and without serving society at all. We are talking about a blowhard man full of shit like a xmas turkey, the male Palin, or hotel Paris Hilton, Newt Gingrich. All famous for having done nothing but...be famous.

Kinda makes your heart go pitter pater if it doesn't stop beating.

Geo W. Bush proved that anybody, but anybody but ANYBODY could be elected POUS....and twice no less. What an absolute joke of a shadow of a man. The man who allowed the PENTAGON to be attacked. The man who said that America should be a dictatorship as long as he...was the dictator.

Edwynn -> RE: Trump. Again. (4/30/2011 4:01:03 AM)

How many of the foreign media placed much emphasis on the fact that GWB was the first president appointed to the office by the Supreme court, or that the oil companies set all-time records for campaign contributions in that election year, and not just for GW, but across the board. How many of them took notice that 30 or more cabinet and top administrative positions in departments such as the Federal Trade Commission and anti-trust division of the Department of Justice and the Interior Department et al. were staffed by people either directly from oil industry or from lobbying firms working on their behalf? How many of the foreign media took the trouble to match 'yeah' and 'nay' votes for the invasion of Iraq to the level of oil company contributions, which happened to match quite perfectly in that regard, both parties?

And I see nothing written in the Trump fascination or criticism in foreign media that's not been presented 100 times already domestically. The article almost looks like a few copy/paste US domestically produced items scrabbled together, truth be known. In fact, that is precisely what it is.

And especially in the case of British political journalism, furtherance of antagonism and accomplishing nothing at all useful by way of focus on the most the most sensationalistic and simultaneously irrelevant players is something that I wish the US press to get further way from, not that it's going to happen.

I wish for both US and other countries' citizens to be as far away from concern for what these twits have to say as possible, whatever the location of origin.

People who spout off in the fashion you have just make me shake my head. Are you kidding, Palin an improvement? And I won't bother with the rest of the suggested "improvements". All you are doing is blathering on in an overly opinionated manner with no facts.

I'm not an American, but I live here and I pay taxes here. I'm disgusted by how divided Americans become in opinionated (not fact based) arguments involving anything to do with the two main political parties in this country. I was here in 2001 when the World Trade Center was levelled and I saw Americans come together like never before. What happened to that sense of union? Don't any of you feel shame when you degrade the leader of your country in such a malicious way? I can understand being unhappy with a leader and the decisions they may make, but to denigrate them with derogatory comments that stem from what appears to be a personal dislike and not any cogent, sound reasoning is just detestable.

He claims to have performed a great service to America. Sheesh.

Amazingly, the captain of industry has not decided whether to pay the people he hired.  If you don't understand the concept of paying someone who does the work they were hired to do...

Why should I give a shit what this guy thinks about republicans? His first paragraph reminds me of the bigots from cm and I ignore them. So why would this one be any different?

ArizonaBossMan -> RE: Trump. Again. (4/30/2011 5:23:06 AM)

Name o'bama's three great accomplishments in his life. THREE. OK, easier. ONE. Name ONE. What's he ever done? Why was he qualified to be POTUS? HMMM? you libs make me want to puke. But 2012 is coming, choo choo! Here's one of the many questions you'll never hear the lazy assed reporters ask Dear Leader. "Why did you give up your law license?" "Why did Mrs. Dear Leader, Domme Michelle, give up HER law license?" HMMMMM? Simple questions, really. Ever here them asked? Now I'm not sold on whatever Trump is selling, but out of the gate he's more qualified that o'dumbo. By the way, Dear Leader the great peacemaker... he's now in THREE WARS? Don't you think that a bit odd? For a Nobel PEACE PRIZE WINNER? HMMMM? I think he needs to concentrate on more important things like going on Oprah and The View (The television show that makes a great argument for taking away women's right to vote...just force yourself to watch it for half an hour).
