I stumbled into a M*A*S*H rerun which was the episode where Trapper John is sent state side and BJ Honeycutt is sent to replace him. At the time Frank Burns and Hotlips Hoolihan were in charge of the unit. Both of them were lusting for BJ to be a Republican, which was quite funny and revealing.

It occured to me that some things never change. Now Frank Burns in no longer running the M*A*S*H unit, but we have GWB running the country. Hawkeye Piece has been replaced by John Stewart, Colonel Flagg has been replaced with Rumsfeldt, and the Korean war has been revamped into an IRAQI occupation. Fact has replaced fiction, and its actually more farcical and alarming than M*A*S*H ever was.

At least Coporal Klinger's kink has been replaced by gay marriage debates, an exploding porn industry, CM type sites, and a vigilant Justice Department seeking to protect us from the sensual godlessness that might otherwise steer our vulnerable, wayward souls straight to HELL.

What a wonderful analogy, I keep waiting to hear Prohibition is being re-instated....

lol... interresting... being a M.A.S.H. fan as much as Star Trek... I so see things wrapping around each other as well. Shame we've yet to see a real Spock... other than that asshole that thinks he knows how to raise kids better than anyone else. I'm curious though.... sometimes.. and only sometimes... I see Bush being as stupid as Col Blake was. (Just nowhere as loveable) Shame he can't get as serious as Col. Potter, without acting like Frank Burns while doing it.

I thought that was hysterical. Im a huge M.A.S.H fan and i thought about this analogy and read it to my husband too. .....doesnt get much better than that lol. This gets 2 thumbs up lol
