Obama fans dont have much room to brag about business failures as we watch Obama  lead the entire nation straight into the jaws of the mother of all bankruptcies (so to speak).

You need to research why Trump had to file bankruptcy those 4 times and then think about the above.

Be thankful Obama is there instead of the one who put us in this mess to begin with.

tazzy, please dont remind Sanity about how president bush inherited a budget surplus and turned it into a deficit.

Our economy crashed in 2008, welcome to the Great Depression II - Revenge of the Robber Barons, starring George W Bush, guest starrting Dick Cheney. How soon you all forget when this disaster happened, and what created it.

Thats kinda like blaming a splinter for causing cancer

Sanity -> RE: A modest proposal for The Donald (5/1/2011 6:33:51 PM)

Leftists variously like to claim its the House thats at fault and that the Presidency has nothing to do with setting the budgets or they claim its all Bushs fault as Obama leads us even deeper into the abyss but the truth is its a combination, and its fascinating to see the Republican house demonized for attempting budget cuts by the same people who want to assign blame for our ruinous budget deficits, or to see Bush demonized while knowing that Obama is certainly no better and is arguably much, much worse.

On this, I have lost my patience with you, Sanity. I have repeatedly told you, as many others have...

I dont mind the cuts, its cutting from women and children to give to the military that I resent, will never support, and will condemn till hell freezes over.

Now, is that clear enough for you?

Sanity -> RE: A modest proposal for The Donald (5/1/2011 6:41:05 PM)

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were the primary causes for the housing collapse that beget the 2008 crash, a crash that was aided and abetted primarily by Dems such as Barney Frank and Chris Dodd while W tried to head it off. The truth is seriously  inconvenient for spinning leftists but its a matter of record

What better way to kick off an election year than proving wrong what everyone was being told for the past two years.

It was going to have to be shown... seems only birthers believed it never would be.

Now, why on earth would the President want to get into a pissing match with 4 time bankrupt business man.

He is the President and was thoughly vetted well before he won the election. He should not have to prove anything as ridiculous as this. No other President has been treated this way before, with such disregard. Not a pissing match, just tell the Donald in no uncertain terms to put up or shut up.

Lucylastic -> RE: A modest proposal for The Donald (5/1/2011 6:59:22 PM)

Personally TJ I think he did tell him to shut up, perceptions are a funny thing
Trump has nothing now, and is looking more and more dumb
his claims that he MADE the Pres show the world is obvious bluster, n bullshit
but YMMV[:)]

True, barack Obama has never declared bankruptcy, but Barack Obama has absolutely no experience in the world of business whatsoever!

And after Obama has finished his first term, someone with business experience (and more specifically experience with bankruptcies) may be exactly what the doctor ordered.

If Trump is a Conservative, they why does he rely on SOCIALIST THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT to bail him out over and over and over every time he fails and has to screw over his good-faith creditors and hide in bankruptcy?

REAL CONSERVATIVES DON'T DECLARE BANKRUPTCY.

They honor their debts.

Barack Obama has NEVER declared bankruptcy.

Donald Trump, 6 Bankruptcies and 2 loan defaults.

So, Trump may be "exactly what the doctor ordered" but you don't support him. RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT. At least be consistent willya.

girlygurl -> RE: A modest proposal for The Donald (5/1/2011 7:18:11 PM)

Fast skim through, and fast reply from a simple mind [:)]

Did someone say the donald was a good business man? If indeed he is a "good" business man, does that mean he'll make a good president? I'm sure the big corporations and the filthy rich think so.

Obama inherited what the Bush and Cheney show began.

On a serious note, will someone be willing to tell Mr. Trump that SOMETHING must be done with that dead thing he sports on his head?

Well, if he told the Donald to put up or shut up, then i missed it. This whole fiasco does not make the US look very good, there are much more important things the President needs to be doing, the US is involved in 3 wars now (yes, I consider this Lybia thing another war), and the economy is still in the toilet, debt, etc etc. And here, the most powerful man in the world is having to deal with the Donald and his buddies.

I'm pretty sure it's alive.

Have you ever noticed how it moves around sometimes when he is sitting still?

Sanity -> RE: A modest proposal for The Donald (5/1/2011 7:43:58 PM)

Again, bill - I was referring specifically to our potential looming bankruptcy as a nation.

But you're not a reasonable person so we can't reach that conclusion.

You want to argue that someone who inherited his wealth from his father and still managed to go bankrupt numerous times is a business genius.

Is that why he is reduced to hosting a reality show?

Maybe we can get Steve-O to be his running mate and they can film "Jackass, The Presidential Run".
