It's funny: Being a wordsmith myself, I actually thought sympathetically of the WH folks have to crank out the speech so quickly! I thought they did a good job, except for quoting the Pledge at the end. That edged across the line into bombast imho. Edit: fixed typos

Wanna bet the speech was already written? Remember, according to accounts, he was killed last week. I'm also thinking that the release of the birth certificate might have been part of a little plan to GUT the ranting right. A little bit of "See assholes, I was born in the US. By the way, the troops that I command got that SOB Bin Ladin after My predecessor spent 8 years looking."
