Awww...what a cute red ass. :)

I can't help think of my own ass, the last time it was beaten to a pulp...so much so that it was covered in welts and was purple before the night was over...so sensitive that i couldn't even put my panties on without jumping in pain. Every bit of contact with my tender tush resulted in an exquisite sensation. The bruises were there for almost 2 weeks.

Oooo...I loved it. :)

Oh, I'm sorry...I derailed the thread. :D

subboi3382 -> RE: Osama is killed (5/2/2011 4:14:23 AM)

lol thanks

Hey, I just checked out your profile. You need to update your age! 'Cause if you are 22 today, that means you joined when you were underage. Eeep!

I, however, shall remain ageless. *grin*

It would have made a big difference when he was nearly killed in 2002 but even though he seems to be dead it looks like he has won by greatly intensifying tension between the West and the Islamic World.

Do you mean 12/01 Battle of Tora Bora ? We had him surrounded and dead-to-rights and the US govt. deliberately had our military hold off and let him pass. We needed 10 years of war profits, he couldn't die right away.

That's the one although I don't buy into the conspiracy as the events and difficulties during the battle are well accounted for.

swaybackgirl -> RE: Osama is killed (5/2/2011 7:40:42 AM)

I would like his body to be put on display, seeing is believing.
hang it from ground zero..

Congrats!!! to the men and women who made it happen.

I don't really condone the death penalty (mostly cuz' it's to easy for those who most deserve it) or the willful murder of another but I think in this instance for this man it is acceptable. I do not care for his reasons or ours, in the end his existence ended the lives of far too many innocent's who did not accept or pledge to wear a uniform to work for their people. I don't feel happy about it as I think it's too little too late and there is still a tide of others who will continue his 'work' but perhaps just this once for just awhile I can be happy an evil man is dead.

He did have the option to surrender.

I was skyping with my son (the deployed Marine) while watching the news, and he told me that the SEALS who did this are part of the Joint Special Operations Unit that he is assigned to.

I am very proud of our country and all our servicepeople right now. As a native New Yorker, this helps heal some of the wounds that have been festering for too long.

*and now I wait to see how FOX News and the GOP will spin this against Obama*

I have seen many comments on this without the usually right vs left bullshit coming into play. It's been nice, but I guess there is one in every crowd.[8|]

I am very gratified on behalf of my cousin who died in one of the towers.

It does not matter how long it took, the fact that it is finally done is phenomenal news and anyone who thinks otherwise is a moron.

And there you have it folks. Final word, lock the thread[8|]

slvemike4u -> RE: Osama is killed (5/2/2011 5:50:16 PM)

Can we do that? Lock the thread.....is that an option for us? If so there are a few threads in need of locking.....lol.

This was made shortly after the attacks

http://attacked911.tripod.com/

That was profound and brought tears to my eyes.

I hope people watch this and remember the horrifics of that day and the victims involved.

I worked with a man whose wife was on one of the planes that went into the towers.

I agree with sexyred1 - it is phenomenal news osama was taken out.  It disturbs me to see so many folks turning this into a political debate so soon after this historic moment of justice, but I suppose that's human nature.

Thank you for the video, julia.

slaveluci -> RE: Osama is killed (5/2/2011 5:57:19 PM)

Everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion, of course, and you know I usually agree with you 150%, NuevaVida. On this subject, though, I too feel disturbed but it's by everyone's celebration of his death. It's nothing political at all. It's just that I don't see it as cause for rejoicing. If I'm a "moron," then so is Dr. Martin Luther King who said: "I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that." I agree with him totally and am saddened that no one else here seems to. That, sadly, is what seems like human nature to me.......luci

Not sure if what Sexyred said was partly aimed at my first post on this thread. It wasn't intended to sound as if I was diminishing the news. Clearly it is a big story and would be especially meaningful for the relatives and loved ones of the victims of that appalling day. Rather I meant that it won't change the direction of the overall conflict at this relatively late stage but wasn't intended to start a debate. Like others I made a point of staying away from the aggressive P&R threads.

I fully understand the reticence in "celebrating" someone's death.....yet in this case I am willing to make an exception.I will explain why
1)justice...OBL's hands were on the tiller of a infamous attack that claimed the lives of over 3,000 of my fellow citizens.....most of who simply went to work one monday morning fully intending, and having no reason to doubt it,rejoining their families after the days exertions.
2)Fulfillment of the gov't's obligation to protect their citizens....and I believe this extends to exacting the fullest measure of satisfaction possible for those who have perpetrated attacks against her citizens .
3)Deterrent....yes it took years, but the message is undeniable.....inflict such grievous injury to our national soul and we will track you down.....and exact justice.
4)Simplicity and the sparing of future dilemma's...what sort of issues would have arisen from his capture ,rather than his execution.....what sort of security nightmare would a trial have been.Could he actually have been tried in a civilian court ...would not the extralegal methods of his capture presented problems were he to be tried in a civilian court under our constitution?

Hey there luci,

I tend to think this nation was hid fucking HARD by what happened on 9/11 and yesterday's event was tremendous.  Such events are going to affect people differently, and probably fairly intensely.  So the celebrations, the shaking of fists, the joy, the hatred - to me, it's all just the various ways people grieve.

By tremendous and phenomenal, by the way, I mean huge.  People can view it as fantastically good or horribly bad.  But it was huge, either way.  I don't think anyone on this planet is prepared to process such intense emotions or knows of the "right way" to do so.  So I take it all in stride.

Perhaps, then, I should read my own words and try to understand that turning this into a political fiasco is also part of that process, but I struggle with that.

I didn't take your post as diminishing the news.  I agree - there is one less face of evil on this earth.  To me it just feels surreal.  I'm neither happy nor angry.  I'm just processing it.

DomImus -> RE: Osama is killed (5/3/2011 6:04:12 AM)

As bin Laden was the biggest face associated with terrorism this is a symbolic victory in a wild west justice sort of way. I doubt that Al-Qaeda will crumble like a dry leaf in autumn. It won't be surprising to see them come back with a vengeance especially after he was dumped at sea. This is hardly the end of terrorism. I won't be surprised to see a wave of terror acts now here on American soil. Nothing on the scale of 9-11 but more of it.

ArizonaBossMan -> RE: Osama is killed (5/3/2011 6:13:50 AM)

Credit where credit is due... but I'm amazed Dear Leader would have given the signal to proceed. Still, many many problems remain with this administration. I still don't know who the guy is. Trump should not stop pushing him. I don't know where the @#$% Dear Leader was born, but the thing is we'll NEVER know. We can waste time debating the birth certificate or we can move on to the substance of what is wrong with the direction of the country.
