One of their many jokes... you can find some other entertaining google maps jokes by asking for walking directions to Japan, for example.

Bi Laden's Hideout on Google Maps

Can you imagine all of the man hours of intelligence gathering that could have been saved by merely typing in "Osama's Super Secret Villain Lair" into google maps?

I am still waiting for walking directions on how to get there.

LOL, Julia you are soooo right.  A friend of mine once showed me if I used google maps to get directions from Taiwan to Japan (which by the way tells you right off you will need to take a ferry and will have to pay tolls).  But in step 23 it tells you to swim across the Pacific Ocean (this is aside from the ferry trip you have to take!)  Riiiiiight [;)]

Step 30 will give you a chuckle on this map

Where are the 72 virgins?

Musicmystery -> RE: Google Maps Satirizes Bin Laden Capture (5/2/2011 10:54:40 AM)

I Googled from my house to Toyko. The directions include taking the exit ramp to Honolulu and kayaking across the Pacific. Then all the streets are in Japanese.

LOL!!!!  Thanks for fixing the link.  I guess, from what Musicmystery adds, kayaking across the Pacific is the way to go!  That is so, so funny!!!!

Yes, kayaking seems to be a very popular way of traversing the pacific ocean...
