There was a 25 million dollar bounty on bin Laden's head. The SEAL that shot him is not eligible. The courier that gave the info did not do so willingly.

So, WHO gets that 25 million?

I fear that the answer is no-one.

I mean that I think that with the fact that the SEALS cannot receive the bounty, no others in the chain that lead to this are eligible either. Which makes me wonder if ANY of the bounties offered are worth the paper they are printed on.

Your needless expanation of "fear" aside, you are missing the point. The bounty could have been collected if anyone eligible had turned him in. No one did, so no one gets it. What if his kidneys failed before someone was eligible for the bounty? Does that mean it should never have been posted?

Just guessing here, but I believe that bounty was put out for a citizen or un-military group who pointed him out. That's usually who reward money is set up for. For people willing to help the agency or main source accomplish their goals. Kinda like when cops put a bounty on someone's head, they don't give the bounty to themselves if they find the perpetrator, before someone turned him in.

Even though the SEALS are not eligible, I think they deserve a nice bonus for a job well done. If they don't want to do that, there are plenty of government programs, like Social Security, that could certainly use a little help. Of course that isn't going to happen and really, with the deficit being what it is, the government really doesn't have twenty-five million to give to anyone. Knowing our government, they will probably give that money to some country we are blowing up so they can re-build.

Probably no one.LEO`s don`t get posted rewards.Prolly goes for the SEALS too.

Can you image tho,what the helicopter ride was like on the way back?!!!

No one was hurt and w/ bin-laden, shot in the head and in tow (like a trophy over the hood of the p/u truck) and everybody made it out,all fucking stoked as shit and happy as hell!!That must have been the most exciting thing in the fucking world! HOLY FUCK`N SHIT !!!

Now that, must have been something no amount of money could buy.

Someday,I hope we`ll meet some of them in interviews.

Had the courier called up and tipped everyone off that Osama was in the compound he would get the 25 million.

Since no one ever came forward and the US did it all on their lonesome nobody gets it.

Ahhhh, yea that would be cool to hear about the story blow by blow. In the video I posted, it was said the 6 on the mission cheered with happiness that their mission was to get OBL. I'd definitely buy a book, if they put one out on down the line!
