There is a debate going on about releasing the photos of Osama Bin Laden's body before burial at sea, what do you think? Should they or shouldn't they?

I voted yes, but only to enough of the international community to say "Yep, that was him, and he's dead". Why give his followers any ammo to fuel revenge against his "martyrdom"? ETA: Unless they decide to withhold them 'til, say........... October of 2012?

I seem to be the only one who has voted no so far. And I did so because it won't make any difference. The nutcases will only claim the photos are fakes.

RML, strangely enough, and I am no graphics guru, I used to make all kinds of large photo shop images of OBL with target circles on them (until the boss caught me using the large printer to print them off.) You are right, people will claim they are faked, cgi or photoshopped. Personally, I believe they should have kept the body, shipped it to the states and had various ambassadors and independent doctors confirm it was him, THEN bury they bastard in a toxic waste dump or in a radioactive coffin.

I agree the photo won't convince the nuts but it should still be released because I want to use it as my desktop and maybe make tshirts with it.

When Saddam and his sons were killed in Iraq, those photos were released the next day. These photos should also be released.

You are partly correct. Morbid, yes, but they were necessary. There would still be doubts about Saddam but the photos are proof.
