Status: offline 		Can any Dommes tell me is it standard practice for a male sub to remove all their body hair? Should it be shaved or waxed off and sould the sub do it or is it something that the Domme does?

Some like hairy beasts, and some like clipped pets.  It is a personal choice for the lady, much like color of fingernails.

(additionally, some would take umbrage at not being given the choice over their shit, much like getting tattoos with the name Sarah on your arm when the Dominatrix happens to be named Hazel, such gaffes might cost you an arm.....)

Status: offline 		I'd rather have the tickle of hair than to have the sharp pokes and time used to shave a body. Trim and nice, maybe one area shaved... but a body shaved... no thank you. Besides, what am I going to pull on at fun moments? I like options...

Status: offline 		Where's the resident manscaper when we need him?  I tend to date guys who don't have much body hair in the first place so I rarely have to deal with this issue.  On those occasions when a male partner had body hair, I preferred he leave it alone except for the nether bits.  For those, a close trim or bare is best.  It's impossible to wax guy parts effectively, so go with a very sharp (read: new) razor blade if you decide to bare it all.

Status: offline 		How does the concept of shaving fit with who you are as a human being?  I mean, if you would never shave your body -by your own choice- then don't do it now just because you mistakenly think there is some sort of procedural manual that states what is "usual and customary" in D/s relationships.

If however, being shaved -fits- your concept of you as a person - for me it was because I am transgendered, then shave away!  Hair regrows, and fairly quickly on parts, and so if a D-Type person you encounter that you make an informed decision on getting to know better prefers you have more or less hair, it is a matter of a week or two to bring everything into alignment with Her wishes...

Disregard what that OttersSwim fellow said.  I just consulted my copy of the Official D/s Procedural Manual, and it specifically states that submissives are to have all bodily hair removed except for the hair on their head.

The manual does make an exception for female subs.  It states that they may also have pubic hair, but only if it is shaved in the "landing strip" style.  All other shapes/styles of pubic hair are against regulations.

The manual dictates that men with back hair are to be shot on sight.  However, that's an old regulation, and it's currently viewed as optional.

Hope that helps.  Now start clipping that hair!

Status: offline 		I prefer less hair rather than more. I like Otter to stay shaved. We have had a recent discussion because some of the nether bits had gotten a bit long. My idea of a long session, him restrained, and me with tweezers had mixed reactions. I find the option delightful!

There is no standard practice.  I like my current two fully hairy, as their body types are more masculine and it complements them nicely.  I've had subs who looked better smooth, the slender, ethereal or femme type, and those I've shaved or told to keep shaved.

For me it's what looks good on the individual submissive.  Other people's mileage may vary.  I don't run my household according to somebody else's rules that are supposed to be standard or whatthefuckever.  I direct my subs to groom in the manner that I find most attractive on them, not the manner in which somebody else thinks they "should" be kept.

Status: offline 		As everyone else said, it's always best to ask the person in the dynamic with you what their preference is about body hair.  Personally, I do prefer no body hair because I happen to be a fan of fire play and that's not something that I want to do and deal with the smell of burnt hair.  When I want to do wax play, I don't want hair getting in the way.  (Yes, it's one way to get rid of the hair, but I'd rather have the blank canvas.)

On the manscaping itself, I consider that his responsibility, just like any other for being ready for play.

Status: offline 		I'm with the others that the extent of depilation is Domme's choice. For me personally, I require genitals and ass completely depilated because I often use electro. Hair causes hot spots. I also like the fact that the boy needs to keep up on it to stay comfortable or he'll be stung w/electro and/or itch like hell; either way frequent physical reminders of his submission.
