drewybear -> Bore da! (Welsh for hello) (5/4/2011 7:51:19 PM)

Hey gents/ladies, I'm Drew
Totally new to this way of lifestyle but very excited!
I was introduced to BDSM by a friend and I'm looking forward to meeting dominant males and maybe females as I am a sub myself.
I am 100 per cent reliable and honest, willing to try new things etc but do have some limits. I try to keep an open mind however due to my history there are things I may be less willing to give a go but don't let that scare you off.

I'm young and take life seriously at times but like to enjoy myself. I am a very sociable person and spend quite some time with friends. I have many hobbies and interests but I won't give that away quite yet, if you have an interest in getting to know me and would like to chat please do send a message!

Looking forward to the response I get from you all, wish me luck! :-) xo

Don't worry, the welcome wagon will be along in a bit.

I'm still pretty nervous about this.
Hope I get a positive response from people.

Well, a couple of helpful tips are:

1. Read the FAQ and the Forum Guidelines.  Too many people skip over this and make some really silly mistakes or ask basic questions that are already answered.

2. Read the FAQ for the Ask A Mistress section.  It's different than the site FAQ and has added information about constructing a profile and introductory email.  Although it's designed for submissive men, the info can be adapted for dominants or switches too.

3. Hang out in the Polls and Random Stupidity section and play some of the games.  It's the most relaxed section of the boards and the best place to get to know people.

4. Make friends with the Search feature.  If you have a question, do a search to see if anyone has asked it in the past.  If you still want to talk about the subject, start a thread and include a link to any old posts you found.  This will demonstrate that you've already done some research and will help you formulate your question in a fresh way.

That should get you started.  Have fun, enjoy yourself and best of luck to you.  [:)]

All wonderful advice and I can't add much to it other than to say I'm liking your style, drewy.
