A couple of months ago, I posted in honor of Mr Buckles, the last American vet of WWI.

I have recently come across the sad information that the last combat vet of that war has now passed.

Mr Choules, may you not be forgotten.

I heard the news this morning, but there is stil one veteran left. A woman, who's has been acknowleged to be because she served food on a RAFbase :)

This person is now known officially as the LAST veteran of WWI

We just had our national day to remember the victims of wars WW II and further on. Today is liberationday in Holland, with a lot of festivals :)
