I am a little confused, why do some dommes put their goods in the shop window?

My expectation is that a domme would make me please her to get any kind of reward of seeing her body. So why do some show what they have?

I'm trying to remember how many of us are on that "keeping abreast of other threads" topic.

I won't speak for anybody else.  I did it for fun.  The pic was taken while there were a number of us from the site when we were hanging out by the pool/hot tub. 

I don't know what you are thinking that it's a reward.  I'm just glad the folks who saw Me naked didn't go blind.  [8D]

Odd that you'd miss that Dommes are still women; that "their goods" are a defining factor of their female sexuality and that (speaking hetero) women know that we men are visual creatures.

Possibly the same reason some men think a dick shot is the best way to introduce themselves. You just never know on CM. I have seen several, but I have never thought of it as a "reward". If I want to look at pics of naked chicks, I don't have to be "good" to someone. All I have to do is buy a porn magazine. I wrote one women who's main pic was her ass bent over a bench. I told her I really like the pic and the ass made me want to get out a paddle and have at it. She wrote back and said she was a top and why would I think she wanted to be spanked. Not sure why she would put her ass out there like that if she didn't want it hit, but to each their own. It was better than the dildo shot with the sub guys ass in it. Now there was a shot that could blind someone for life[8|]

Just to put this thread back on track - I think the bigger question is why don't all dommes show us the goods? Personally, I think that should be mandatory. [;)]

Ok, I guess, in my mind, clothing is part of domination in, if I am naked and the domme isnt, then there is already an inequality in power.

The reward thing? If I am good, or take a level of punishment, then to be allowed to view (yes we are visual creatures) or touch is a pleasure allowed by the domme.

It's nice that you explained a bit more of what you were thinking so people would know where the question came from. Your topic went off base as soon as you said "in my mind." People are all different and think in different ways, no Dominant woman is going to be exactly as you have it in your mind. No one fits a set of rules, especially in this area. People tend to do as they please. A Domme does what she wants to and that's the key thing you have to remember. What if she's naked as a torture? Leaving you wanting what is displayed and not being able to get it? There are many reasons for a Domme choosing to do things the way she wants to, as there are Dommes.

It's all part of the advertising. Chances are, most of the profiles you're talking about are from women that are going to hit you (or whoever) up for money. I would venture to say that at least 99.9% of guys are turned on by naked, and a lot of guys, not going to guess the percentage there, are turned on by the idea of "lesbian". It's business, get as many paying customers as you can.

Don't believe everything you read in a profile just because it's there.

You're assuming that you're in some sort of power dynamic with a profile. Really, you aren't. If you negotiate a power dynamic with someone (even online, I guess) and she does things within that power dynamic that put her at a disadvantage, you might want to question that.

The power dynamics between female dominants and male submissives can be really complicated. In many ways, when you assume that her appearance is tailored make you happy, you show your own privileged and the cultural power you are accustomed to by virtue of being male. (Even with lesbians. Why would they care what you think?)

It's much more complicated than even this, of course, but I'll save it for another post.

What if she enjoys being touched? What if she enjoys being looked at? You're framing your expectations in terms of what gives you pleasure. (And whether or not you deserve that pleasure.) A good dominant is is generally just as motivated by her own pleasure, if not more so. Asking why it makes her happy will yield better answers than asking why she would do this to you.

Some of them are fakes, of course, in the sense that they are scammer profiles, or men hoping to talk dirty with lesbians.

As one who has served many Dommes over the past 20 years, I would caution you not to go into things with expectations of what a Domme should do.  Every Domme is going to be different. 

There are certainly some who believe that they should remain clothed while their male sub/slave should be kept naked.  But there are also many who don't follow that protocol.  Heck, I've served a few Dommes who always wanted to get naked the moment I showed up (For them, sexual service was a part of the dynamic, and they obviously enjoyed the service).

But like you, I do enjoy it when touching her body or seeing her naked is reserved as a reward.  So I understand exactly where you're coming from.

BTW, many (most?) of the Dommes who have naked pics (or bikini pics) in their profiles aren't real.  Have you noticed that they all seem to be 18-25 years old, and that most of them demand tribute before they'll even communicate with you?  I have a general rule of thumb that has served me well; if the photo looks like it came right out of a bikini or porn magazine, then the person is probably a scammer.  There aren't many people who have served as professional models for bikini mags.  Yet, apparently 90% of the financial Dommes on this site have (at least their photos seem to indicate that they have). 

For pro-Dommes, I think that alluring pictures are just good marketing.  So for them, it's probably just a business decision.

Among the lifestyle Dommes (i.e. non-pros and not financial Dommes), I really don't come across very many who use naked pics in their profiles.  But maybe I just haven't come across the profiles that you're referring to.

As several people have already said, a lot of the pics are possibly not real.

On the other hand, I know some ladies (and yes they are real) who feel empowered by being naked, maybe they are exhibitionists, I dunno? Personally I have no problem with topless or clothing optional beaches but to take my top off in a session? It's going to cost the guy, not money but pain, if I'm in a good mood, I might even not blindfold him, though no guarantees...
