i've known my Dom for about 7 years, as a mentor/friend. only since i've turned 18 have we begun dating. i was drawn to Him as a person when i first met Him, though, and kept in contact even after He moved away and went all over the place. eventually when He returned to where we live now i started seeing Him again as a friend and it just developed naturally into more. there are things that made me feel as though giving Him ownership of myself was the right thing to do - the fact that i was immediately drawn to Him, the fact that i feel able to trust Him more than i've trusted anyone, the way He treats me, that He seems to have my best interests and development at heart but also understands my need to submit and serve Him. it was a gradual thing, grown through our earlier friendship and our relationship over the past few months.

I could tell he was the best thing that had come into my life and I begged him to train me, own me, and eventually collar me.  He was (is) strong, firm, consistent, honest, direct, challenging, and quite dear.  I felt his power, and was drawn to him.  As much as I tried to turn away (I was quite fearful back then), I could not.

About 8 1/2 years ago, he called me on the phone one night and said he was moving to Utah. We'd been fairly serious for about about 18 months at that time, lots of playing and stuff and I was already in love with him but not collared to him. Anyway, he had this incredible job opportunity with a start-up, stocks, huge pay, lots of perks.. the works and he was taking it. As it was a start-up, they were in need of someone with my particular skills to also come work and, in turn, I was offered a position with stocks, lots of perks and at double the salary I was currently earning in CA. I said no. I wasn't going to leave my friends, family and life to move for a job and I told him so. He got rather quiet and then said.. "Then come here for me."

I accepted and we've been together ever since and married two years ago.

Oh.. and I'm not stupid.. I also took the job. ;) When he got transfered, I came here to MN with him.

He became my owner because he was meant to become my owner and we both knew it from the beginning. He's not a perfect Master.. he's not a perfect man, but we see past the flaws each of us have and embrace what is good in each other. After 10 years together, he is still the most incredible man I've ever met and my knees still get weak, my stomach still hurts and he still leaves me breathless when he kisses me.

I've got it soooooo bad for him. lol

I was at first drawn to his strength and intelligence. We had an instant connection that grew daily. He treated me in a way no man had ever done before. He took so much interest in me and got to know me in a way that left me breathless. I fell in love with him and over the months that we were long distance and we grew closer until we truly believed that we were meant to be together. I would say that we were like puzzle pieces that fit perfectly with each other. I needed him and he needed me.

I left my life that I had known and was unhappy in and moved with him to a new state on March 2nd and have been collared to him since March 5th. I have never known this kind of freedom or acceptance for who I am as a woman and as a submissive . I am loved, cherished, protected, inspired, challenged and so much more. He is my everything, he is my Master.

For me it was His touch........that first night that he touched me, my soul jumped....You know that song by Carol King, "I feel the earth move under my feet"  well that is exactly what happened to me.........So when Sir honored me with His collar, I knew my world was complete.....It was all of Him, His looks, His beliefs, His politics, His compassion, His strength and most importantly His guidance that caused me to accept His collar

For me it was "when there really was no other choice to be made."

I knew it as the right thing for me to be there, owned.  I saw my life, and its future as being within that existence.

I liked the person Master was...I thought we would make a great couple and could achieve good things together. We had a common philosophy and understanding about life.

.....the other side of that story is....he stormed my barricades and took me before I knew what was happening  Which could be closer to the truth.... (counting my lucky stars, counting my lucky stars)

i did not decide to be owned.  i simply found that it was so.  At first i was afraid, but that did not last.  Now i know a freedom and a peace that i previously never realized could be.  At 47, i have never been owned before, and will never be again.  He chains my soul.

I spoke to Master for 2 years before all steps where made to commit to slavery.  I was drawn to His desire to teach me and to make me the best person i could be, His kindness and just the person He was in general.  I did feel the need to know all of Him before giving myself so completely, which is why it took 2 years for me to make that journey to Him.  One day something told me that i just HAD to be with Him, and that's when i went to Him.  I'm am glad i made the step to be with Him, it turned out to be the greatest choice i have ever made in my life.  He has bettered me and my life, and i thank him by giving him all of me, and anything He wants.

When the question does not need to be asked anymore.  It just happens.  There is no other place to turn to but to him, then you are owned.

The relationship I am asking questions about is long distance too...besides the LDR...I have also never been in D/s relationship either...which is why I thought getting some advice from other subs would help me...and so far....it's been a great resource

Now this brings up another question for me....I know that in a Vanilla thing...I have always waited to make love until there was a commitment...so my question is...would that be the same as waiting to be collared...

hi erudite one  =)

i didn't "decide to accept"- i begged.  Being with Him, i felt a way that i had never felt before; and never wanted to be without again.
