Is this the same Condi Rice that told us about the mushroom clouds from Saddam's nuclear arsenal? But let's look at the transcript of the interview. Condi Rice Tells Lawrence O'Donnell RICE: We had not focused on the fact -- you have not focused on the fact that Saddam Hussein had been a threat to the United States of America, to the Middle East, since he invaded Iran. Now can you please tell me which country supplied and supported Saddam during his invasion of Iran?

Funny how it looks different to me, he asked questions, she did not answer the points raised but strawmanned. If there was any schooling, she flunked an open book test. But then I'm not an MSNBC guy, and for all intents and purposes it is a reverse O'Reilly.

Condi Rice? She was the one in charge of the epic intelligence fail that allowed 9/11 to get through the door. I dont know how the person who dropped the ball on intelligence matters can school anyone. If there is anyone in the Bush Admin who walks around with the most blood on their hands over 9/11, it is her. Even more that Colin Powell for his selling the big lie.

FR She schooled him alright. After she listed all the people that Saddam gassed, I had to stop, from laughing too hard. "who sold him the gas, Condi?" Condi said earlier: "we miscalculated." We miscalculate all the time, but selling some nut job WMD when only knowing half what he's about is just plain reckless. Who did that? And why does the US have to drag half the world into an invasion because of one dimwit VP-then-pres-then-his son's "miscalculation"? Own it yourself, bitch. The UN 'resolutions' were borne of the same arm twisting as "the coalition of the coerced" (how did the press say it, "coalition of the 'willing'?"). The media couldn't get corporate testicles out of their mouth if their life depended upon it. Never letting that one go, no sir. And yes, that includes the European media too, however much more well spoken the Geisha girl they are about it. Useless, all of them. FR Looked to me like Condi is trying to rewrite history. There were no WD's and they knew there were no WMD's. That's why they had to violate the National Security Act and endanger who knows how many CIA personel and sources.

I watched it and the opposite was true. Mr. O'Donnell appropriately interjected with the truth in order to stop her misleading statements and spin. Compared to Bill O'Reilly disrespecting the Pres. with his dozens of interruptions O'Donnell was too soft on her. For far too long people on the right have been filibustering answers, ignoring facts, and lying. It has astonished me how people on the right continue to expect to deceive people and get away with it.

Strangely enough, compared to others in the Bush Gang, she's not that culpable. For instance, she's really only got one "Overt Act" to her credit. E. On September 8, 2002, on Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer, RICE asserted that Saddam Hussein was acquiring aluminum tubes that were "only suited" for nuclear centrifuge use, which statement was deliberately false and fraudulent, and made with reckless indifference to the truth in that it omitted to state the following material facts: (1) the U.S. intelligence community was deeply divided about the likely use of the tubes; (2) there were at least fifteen intelligence reports written since April 2001 that cast doubt on the tubes' possible nuclear-related use; and (3) the U.S. Department of Energy nuclear weapons experts had concluded, after analyzing the tubes's specifications and the circumstances of the Iraqis' attempts to procure them, that the aluminum tubes were not well suited for nuclear centrifuge use and were more likely intended for artillery rocket production. A prosecutor would try to get her to roll over and rat on her Boss, but if she wanted to go to trial, she's got a hard defense...
