So, after the 'let's give multiple idiots multiple platforms to explain why they don't like whole subsections of the male population' debacle, let's be a bit more cheerful. Dominant, submissive, whatever - I quite like men, you know?

For one thing, they can reach those pesky high shelves. I'm half an inch below average female height so I'm pretty standard for a woman, but men still come in particularly handy in bookshops and libraries. 'Please could you reach this book for me?' is the best pickup line I've ever found in my life (and I'm gutted that it doesn't work on women, because they're all shorter than me. Gah!)

For another thing, they get to wear cologne instead of perfume. Cologne beats perfume any day. Women who wear cologne are my ultimate holy grail of 'guh', but a man with just enough cologne that you notice it when you hold him close (because of course his neck is conveniently situated at inhalation height)? Yeah, that's pretty good. And some men just have good-smelling sweat. It's all manly, and....yeah. You know what I mean.

For a nother nother thing hey're warm. I have cold feet prettymuch all the time (as I type I am wearing two pairs of socks) and cold hands most of the time. I'm don't often feel cold myself, but I'm usually cool to the touch. Men, with their pesky lack-of-internal-reproductive-organs-that-need-constant-heating have more heat to spare elsewhere. Glorious, glorious heat that I can cuddle up to and steal. I appreciate that.

So to sum up, the first three (tongue in cheek) things off the top of my head that I like about men are that they can reach stuff, some of them smell nice, and they're warm. Looking at that sentence, I've obviously focused on the physical - I'm guessing that's because all the emotional things I like about men also apply to women, and therefore don't count. Or maybe I'm just shallow and overly obsessed with the physical. Dunno.

Those are some of the reasons I like men. How about you?

I thank you for making this topic about me, VaguelyCurious.  You missed some other points, but I'll accept this for now.

6-feet-tall naturally.  When going for a check-up they chalk me up as 6'1, however that is incorrect since my brother is 6'2 and it shows in comparison.

I accidentally wear too much cologne from time to time. :(

I just really like the way my cologne smells and use a little too much and then I feel crazy awkward for the next hour or so.

And to answer the question I like being around guys because I like wearing hats but I was taught to always take my hat off in the company of a lady but I have some sweet ass hats and sometimes I like to leave them on!

I like that they are better at math. At least I don't have to worry about it when I can just ask a dude to help me. I've yet to have a man who isn't pretty well versed in it.

I like that they have cocks. It just seems to be like the missing puzzle piece.

I like that they'll climb up on my roof and clean out my gutters. That's a big one right there! Cause ain't no way in hell I'm climbing up there this weekend!

I've known some math whizzy type girls. There's really nothing hotter than a girl math whiz.

Oh I do I do I do I do!!
I really really like your three reasons. Especially the reaching one.
Combine that with an intoxicating scent and it's game on!
I have actually followed a man around a store once (like a ninjarette!)
because he smelled so darned good! I then shamelessly used the
"can you please reach this for me" ploy, and got a really nice visual.

Which leads me to my other favorite thing about most some men.
They sure know how to put the W in Wrangler jeans! As in wow, nice ass!
(In all fairness, so do alot of women, but this thread is all about the men!)

Oh...and the voice of a man!? Ayayyyayyy.

Oh wow......so many things I love about men.

They are less offended by dirty jokes. They don't worry about getting dirty or breaking a nail, therefore will go hiking with me. They will help me haul cool rocks up out of a creek, off of a mountain, help me lift big ones, up into the truck bed......with minimal pissing and moaning. Most of them 'get' my thing with cool cars. 'Cool' being subjective. We can get mad as hell, yell, slam things, cuss at one another....and then get over it with zero left over baggage or bullshit. They will watch boxing with me and actually enjoy it. They look good in a really nice suit. They are good for going on road trips with. Don't feel a burning need to talk all the damned time. Don't get all emotional and wonky about the need for 'alone time'.

Oh I could go on and on. Most of my favourite people are men!

Right off the top of my head.....I like that they can make decisions must faster than me. I like that they have a hairy chest (or the ones I like do) to put my face in. I like that, in general, they have a better sense of direction than me...but there are oh so many other things I like about them too..that smell thing is important too and an individual thing though altogether!

Well, there's adding and subtracting, and then there's real math, like Linear Algebra and Vector Calculus.

Any idiot can add 2 and 2. And any idiot can clean a gutter. But to find an idiot who can do differential equations AND clean the gutters...

I find them rather less complicated than women.  And sooooo much more fun to look at.  And they smell nice.  And though I like women very much, I'll take the company of other men (especially other gay men) any day.

Another vote for the warmth of them. And they can open jars. And they kill spiders.
They know how to talk to mechanics without saying "It's making a funny sound".
Plus a built in sense of direction is awesome.

Wow, am I to understand that some women actually quite like some men? So they are seen as handy for opening jars and as hot water bottles - now I know why the fairer sex "puts up" with sex.

Yes, I do happen to like men.  I think everyone should have at least one.

Your three were pretty good, VC.  The joke around this house is they are for car repair, lawn maintenance, and anything to do with electronics.  I have the ability to do things in those areas.  I just don't want to.
