The sluagh is the name of the host of the Wild Hunt.  In some myths, it was comprised of Hell Hounds and Unseelie Fae riding Nightmares, led by a demonic entity known only as The Huntsman.  Once some hapless victim (usually a criminal) was chosen, the sluagh ran him to ground and held him until the Huntsman killed him. 
 
No one escaped the sluagh.  No one.
