No, that's the post Christian Neo/Pseudo pagan definition. All of it is "just deserts" and that can include being thankful to a Living Rellie for what they did right, for you, in your life, but the bulk of it IS a revenant (rightfully) punishing shitbags amongst the living, and for creatures that were never fully human at all (such as the Dhaonie Sidhe) to have their way with homo sapiens louts as appropos, similar to a Wild Ride of the Unseelie Court in Alba (aka Scotland). The Aussie is a blood descendant of some notable Gaelochs, and shaken the hand of the previous Leader of Erin (back when said leader was, appropriately, a strong woman). There have been several Gaelic Diasporas as there have been Jewish ones. In the past 2 years over 50,000 Irish have emigrated to Oz, a greater (legal) number than during the Famine.
