So my last serious partner loved my breasts. He loved touching and kissing and really loved sucking on them. After a passionate night I would find my chest black and blue with love bites and hickeys all over. Are there long term conquences to brusing over and over again? And if so what are they?

well I am not a docter, but I have been told that repeated deep tissue bruises to the breasts can cause the tissue to die leaveing dimples, but I am not sure if that is fact or just something I have heard though the grape vine, why dont u talk to your docter and find out for sure?

i also have wondered this but never found the answer. instead i am about to start taking a WOMANS multi vitamin [with lots of extra iorn]

Unfortunately I do not bruise easily at all ~sigh~ I have no idea why, wish I did. Eh, I am no help ......sorry.

When you bruise, you are rupturing veiins and capillaries under the skin. Long term, repeat bruising of an area will result in decreased blood flow to the area, possible permanent discoloration of the area, and a different skin texture. This is rare in areas with good venous and capillary content though, and the breasts are one of these areas. There is however some indication of increased risk of breast cancer due to repeat trauma of the breasts. The studies are inconclusive at this time concerning this.

Blood thinners such as Coumadin and Aspirin will cause increased bruising as well as increased bleeding to open wounds. Some people in the lifestyle will use aspirin due to this, but I really don't recommend or condone the practice.

There has been no evidense of long term effects from bruising. The veins and capillaries heal, the discoloration goes away. Might be sore for a few days even once the area LOOKS normal, but that's about it. Eat lots of green leafy vegies (iron and vitamin K) to ensure good blood clotting and prevent anemia. Cut back on aspirin if you notice you have a lot of bruising.

I have scar tissue in places from repeated bruising ... or at least what acts, looks and feels like scar tissue.

There are also studies that have shown that repeated trauma (and bruising is a type of trauma) can eventually lead to cancer by damaging the DNA in the traumatized cells, causing them to mutate because they never have a chance to recover. This type of thing has to be constant, consistant, and long-term though (as in, multiple years) for that kind of damage to occur.
