We pretty much did our 'celebrating' at the dungeon weekend before last. Tonight is for the kids coming to the door. I'm so happy that they will have one of their few snow free Halloweens and it won't be ridiculously cold for their fun. October weather has been really good this year. Sooooo, PBM, do you consider yourself to be the type of person that can be genuinely happy when good things happen for other people?

Absolutely. We have a daily drawing that can get quite sizable when people are drawn that haven't signed. When the book does go, some people grumble, I'm happy someone won a nice chunk of money. Sooooo PBM, have you ever won a nice chunk of money?

A few hundred dollars at the slots in Vegas - dummy me put it right back in ,,,,, more than once. Halloween at home: Will you be sitting at the door or in the easy chair waiting for the costumed door knockers.

No costume tonight. (The one I wore to the dungeon isn't entirely appropriate for answering the door.) I'm thinking I'll do chores between the doorbell chimes. Soooo, PBM, is your weather better or worse than normal for the kids to be out in?

Not as many as I thought we would get and fewer than past years. I thought we'd have tons because the weather held. There was no snow and the cold was nothing like prior years. I think the haunted house/party thing the housing association set up next door had something to do with the reduced numbers. Still, the ones we got were absolutely adorable. Soooo, PBM, what is one thing you will shop for to have for the weekend?

No illnesses recently. I was off work for a month recuperating from surgery to repair a detached retina recently, but that really isn't an illness. Soooo.......pbm......what was your most serious illness ever?

Allergies that created goop - locked my eyes shut and a bear to clean off after sleeping. Those same allergies out in the West German country side would sometimes go from all being normal to breathing difficulties like serious bronchitis in a matter of minutes. Mom would throw me in the car and a modest reduction of ground elevation above sea level would clear it up as she rushed me to the hospital. Sooooo, Person Beneath Me, ... have you had serious allergic reactions?
