In general, I agree the military industrial complex is sucking too much resources. It should be restructured to optimally meet the actual defense needs. However, simple budget comparison with China (or Russia) is not fair because their personnel, labor and materials cost is several times less. Also, totalitarian systems can more effectively downplay real expenses.
