Water colors are cheaper. Given the quality of my painting, that the way to go. Easier to clean too - I think.

(water colours are not cheaper per ounce, if someone teaches you layered oil [painting technique versus the standard impasto 'painting in the moment' technique. Per ounce, if you use layered oil techniques, the oils are cheaper and more easily controlled, which I imagine a person with 'dom' in their name would appreciate, winkity-wink. The trick is painting on things other than cheap course canvas and learning to embrace the magi of the filbert brush.)

If the lecture is by an Attenborough, then the later. But otherwise, always the live lecture. At least if it sucks, you have SEXY female academic with Tina Fey Boooootayyyyys to flirt with.
