Where do you go to unwind ? Is this place in your home or somewhere else ?

For me, the best place would be in Chaos's arms, but with him gone on business, my alternative is my bedroom. i don't sleep in the Master bdrm when he's away, it just seems wrong somehow. So there's a curtain portioning off a section of the living room that i have claimed as my territory. The curtain is called "the Dexter Curtain" by the rest of the Misanthropic Commune here. In my territory i have my bednest, my office/tattoo/dance-studio. Its nice here.

What's your special place and how do you relax there ?

My home..... I like to look out the window and watch people and cars, and the way the light looks at different times of the day

In Daddy's arms, of course, but absent of that, my home.  I love the way it's decorated.  I call my bedroom "My Place of Zen."  I am truly comfy and cozy here. Plus, I have my little snuggle bug here.

Home. My little house on the hill. I love being here. I wish I could spend a lot more time here than I do. Friday nights like this is pure heaven.

Right now....nowhere.

When with Master, with him of course.

When I need time alone though or without him it's normally in my own home that I decorate in a style that fits and comforts me.

With me moving and with this not really feeling ever like my home, it's unfortunately nowhere for now.

When I move hopefully that will change.

Thinking about it, I don't really make an effort to unwind.  That's not to say I don't get keyed up, but honestly, I relax when I go to bed for the night.

I realize that sounds kind of sad.

Even though Firm and I spend nearly every moment of the day together, a good chunk of it is working and we aren't having that much personal interaction.  When we aren't working, our house is pretty big.  There's always someplace in it for me to go if I need to be alone.  But that doesn't happen often; when we aren't working and we don't have plans together Firm typically occupies himself with his own interests.  He very rarely seeks me out if we aren't in the same room... I assume because he's just enjoying time to himself or he figures I'm busy.  Which I usually am.

Alone time for me isn't really a problem, anyway.  I'm not the kind of person who requires a lot of time by myself and I do enjoy Firm's companionship.

Who I figure it is hard on is Firm as he can be a very solitary person.  I do try to give him his space and leave him to his own devices as much as I can, but living and working together can make that difficult.  Poor man has started to spend more time hiding in the bathroom so he can read in peace.  He probably now regrets that he ever insisted that we be comfortable enough with each other to not require bathroom privacy.

I'm kind of with littlewonder on this at the time.

We're just getting here.  The furniture hasn't even made it yet.  I've got ideas on how I'll set it all up and which stuff will go where, but I haven't really picked a zone for My space.  Brand new town, so I'm not really sure of where My favorite walking place will be.  So far, I just have a soft spot for the view out of My dining room window where I can see the mountain range.

I have a two-seater swing with cushions that I love to just sit in, either in the early morning with coffee and a magazine or evening with something more potable.

I find it difficult to unwind when I'm not alone, so I mostly hide in my study. It's set up with all my books and writing materials around me and it's the one place I feel comfortable enough and safe enough to be "me".

I usually put my favourite classical CD on and start writing - that is my way of unwinding. Sometimes I'll work on my book, other times I'll write a short story to try to deal with whatever is bothering me, and sometimes I'll just do further research for my writing. It takes me to a place inside myself where I feel totally calm and de-stressed.

Ideally I would be able to unwind with Master, but it's still early days and I'm the kind of person who needs to trust someone absolutely before all the guards come down. But we're getting there

I have no comfy place at the moment. Perhaps that is why I am still awake after only 2 hours of sleep within the last 48.

On a rainy day, the sofa, squeezed in between 2 dogs and 2 cats (they're snores are actually quite relaxing, their gassy emissions far less), more often a long walk along the water watching the dogs play and run, their goofy antics always cheer me up and help me to unwind. There's a nice spot near a lake where I usually sit in a tree, I have an affinity towards water.

yeah, I join that view...currently I don't have a real comfy place as such but my bed and my sofa are coming close enough...especially when pepper decides to lie on top of my arm (when I am lieing on my side), it just feels awesome, comforting wise

Not sad at all!  My cat and laptop are very important fixtures in my comfy place!
