No garden this year. Once I move though I'm hoping to have a patio to grow some potted plants at least. Hopefully the new owners of my house will take full advantage of the nice big backyard and they will have a nice garden.

Nope; still too early in Northern Alberta. We still have the possibility of freezing at night. Maybe next weekend

I grew some cherry tomato plants from seeds and planted those in a big container out on the deck along with petunias and marigolds in boxes and pots. And made a big hanging basket out of a hot-magenta geranium and a couple of hangy-viney plants. I hung my windchimes from the bottom of it, so there will be tinkling.

If the rain clears up by tomorrow, I'll do impatiens in the flower beds outside my front door for the neighbor kids to ride their bikes through.

We got a couple of tomato plants in 5-gallon buckets.  They are still green.

I want to plant cherry tomatoes.    If my brother would just bring the tiller over, I can have a small garden on the south (sunny) side.  Mom wants a herb garden for cooking.

Very busy couple of weeks in our garden.
Tilled a new section for Yet More Seedlings of various kinds, including zuchinni, several kinds of peppers, late tomatoes, eggplants, cucumbers, watermelons, and yellow squash.
Also laid a flowerbed, built a frame for some grapevines and transplanted young trees, including a forsythia.
Still to come: moonflowers, marigolds, birdhouse gourds and PUNKINS!

My vote would totally be 'work in progress' if there was a choice for that..

I planted annuals today, something this house hasn't seen in a very long time.

The local grocery store had their root-bound pansy flats on sale this morning for $1.98. I thought I might go back later.

When I did they were marked down again to $0.98. I bought a bunch and then put them in this evening.

I thought that there were 4 plants per flat... nope: 6... and so, I found myself putting in 66 pansy plants.

I do have perenials and I have another butterfly bush to put in.

I bought some wild flower seeds and I will rake and sprinkle them this week.

My Master and I are going to put in a small vegetable garden across from my natualized perenial bed.

Done.

Nope, not nearly.  The weather's been kind of uncooperative here and it's often been too wet out to dig.

I bought some of those little solar-powered garden lights at Walmart today for $2.00 each. I stuck them in some of the pots and the hanging basket out on the deck, and now my deck looks magical!

Unfortunately, freezing isn't as much of a concern for us right now as the wildfires are. I'm hoping for some rain and no winds
