I don't really have a physical "type". I've been with people from 5'3" to 6'8", big, fat, skinny, well-built, you name it. If there's a physical characteristic that I'm picky about, it's the nose. But I'm not attracted to the everyday nose & I think nose-jobs are mutilations. I like the interesting noses, noses with character. Apparently I was imprinted by someone with a great classic nose when I was an infant. Who knows? Just one of my quirks.

But there is a whole lot else that I'm picky about. It's very very rare for me to ever find someone who "gets" me. And even rarer for me to find someone to love. Intelligence & open-mindedness are on the top of my list. A sense of humor & the ability to laugh at oneself are absolute musts. And then there's smell. I'm not talking about funk. It's just that there are smells that attract me & smells that repel me. So I need to smell someone before I can decide that they're right for me.

As far as voice? The only accent I really love is a Suthren one.

Most important to me is a person's character and heart.

I struck gold, though.  My physical "type" was always darker skin, darker hair, darker eyes...muscular and strong.  Guess I saved the best for last 'cause I got the entire "combo package" this time.

i like tall, slim-athletic with darkish hair, blue/green eyes are a favorite but generally just nice eyes. i like a more rugged bad boy than pretty boy look. pretty boy looks are ok for me as an instant eye draw, but as i got older i found the guys i got involved with have a more rugged manly look.

No, not that generic "English/Scottish/Irish" shit.  I'm talking real European; Italian, Greek, Spanish, French, etc.

Because England, Scotland, and Ireland are sooooooooo not in Europe.

Please, those countries don't even belong.  Now not all the people are bad, but most are!  Look at what you got from these places;

Yes, let's...

"We may be a small country but we're a great one, too. The country of Shakespeare, Churchill, the Beatles, Sean Connery, Harry Potter. David Beckham's right foot. David Beckham's left foot, come to that. And a friend who bullies us is no longer a friend. And since bullies only respond to strength, from now onward, I will be prepared to be much stronger. And the President should be prepared for that."

For women a slightly androgynous type will get my attention, or somebody oozing sex appeal like Angelina Jolie before she got a bit too skinny (I like skinny but she's near skeletal now)...

Guys, ideally tall (6'2 and taller), dark, handsome, more lean and lanky (but not fragile) than buff, short hair a plus, quite masculine... That's the ideal, but then I think Jack Nicholson is one hell of a sexy guy (a bit old now but that rugged look also works)... Reality? About 8 years with a guy who's quite stout (ex-Rugby player and now with generous padding), under 6', light skinned, hair's leaving him and the rest is getting lighter...

I rather have a connection and somebody I can talk to and live with that somebody who ticks all the boxes when it comes to looks. At the end of the day you get used to looks and the better you get to know somebody the less they matter.

Correct, all those countries are in China........right?

Most Brits don't refer to themselves as Europeans, the Europeans are the one on the mainland...

I had that problem here, when people first said "Oh, you're European?" And I was a bit like "Well so are you, GB is part of Europe..." They just like to make that distinction ;)

my father is Greek and my mum English, i was born in England. but i can't say as i give it much though. if someone were to ask i'd say i'm british. i don't think i ever think of myself as european, i tend to think of those across the channel as european. for some strange reason we just happen to tag along and have to put up with alot of their stupid rules.

Lady, for me when I didn't know anything about Angelina Jolie she was attractive. But, then she opened her mouth!
Too "hollywood" "one-worlder" and when I hear her talk I get the impression that she's not all that smart.
She's certainly not smart enough to be "lecturing" people about (her) beliefs. She seems bitter. I don't think she'd be fun to be around.
Plus, for me anyway she falls into the category of "too pretty", "too pretty" for me starts to go the other way into "not pretty."
And yeah, the "androgynous" type is very nice too! Usually smaller (nicer) breasts. I'm not a fan of HUGE mammories.

Are you stoopid? They're all in Australia.
China...sheesh.
Doesn't anyone around here know your geography? They're in Brazil! Which incidentally is full of the types of babes Nocturnal might go for, except for you all with the English or Irish accent...

To the OP, my type: Kind, average smarts, can laugh at life/self, generous of heart, not too ugly/short/tall, and did I mention kind?!

My type in men: I've always loved the GQ look- well tailored suits, clean cut (short hair, no beard). Tall, dark hair and eyes. I LOOOVE good arms! I've always liked intellectual types (as long as they don't feel they have to compete with me), and gone for educated, white collar types. No tats or piercings.

Then came Sir. Long-haired, blue collar, street smart, Tall, dark and sexy. He looks like every High School girl's perfect bad-boy. I fell hard. He can rock a suit, but He's much more likely to be in jeans and Harley T. He turned my type on it's head, and I'm glad.

As for women, I like tall, dark hair, light skin, curvy (not skinny), insightful and funny. I like the ones who are not super feminine, but not butch, either. Just casual, I guess. This is not Sir's type, so probably the next woman I am with will be a busty girly-girl.

There's a joke in there somewhere.....a brain, a penis and a heartbeat walked into a bar.....the brain said to the barman: "barman, my friend, I've lost my penis", to which the heartbeat nodded: "yeah, he's lost our penis" before shedding a tear for a departed friend......and they said in unison: "it's a dear friend, have you seen it?".......the bar man replied.....

I'm also one of those types that has no physical type.

What I will do, however, when partnered with a dominant, no matter what he looks like, is to start to become attracted (in a general sense) to people that look like him or remind me of him. I see those people as more attractive than others.

Evil psycho crazy bitches. Or just anyone who is very clearly a bad idea.
I always go for the mental ones and it never ends well but I never expect it to, that's half the reason I like them. Keeps things interesting.

There are very obvious exceptions to this rule though, but it's the only frequent pattern I can identify. Other than people who aren't blonde and people who aren't men, but there are notable exceptions to both of those too. I'm not good with sticking to one type.

I don't like men that are prettier than me. Not because I feel I am extraordinary looking or anything like that, but men that tend to cultivate prettiness turn me off. Other than that, I can fall hard for just about anyone as long as they have that "je ne sais quoi". It's a mix of being comfortable in their skin, being kind to others, their natural dominance, their intelligence and their sense of humor. I'm extremely independent with an odd sense of humor...you don't have to "get" me, but you do have to be willing to let me be me. Oh, and I'm a sucker for a deep voice. Tell me to wash the car in a deep voice and I'll be fantasizing about what you sound like when you orgasm in a matter of moments.

As far as women, I would say the same rules apply, but I tend to focus a little more on appearances...feminine with beautiful skin and a willingness to be touched...yum. And of course being pretty is just fine, added bonus!
