I received a note from well outside my usual circle of friends, well outside my geographic region, and in fact, well outside the parameters of my profile. The submissive 'girl' claims to be a 'Female Submissive, 29, Adak, Alaska' but the note doesn't feel right and in fact addresses no personal issues.

I am concerned this could be a bulk-mail phishing expidition. Certainly the grammar is not American English. Without revealing the ID just in case or wrongly dissing anyone, has any member gotten any similar messages? Have the moderators heard any indication?

Yes, they do come and go periodically in various forms, I'd say delete it and move on.

From the word usage, non-standard and obviously non-native english vocab usage, syntax etc. it was clear that I got a series of mails supposedly from diffrent people from all over the globe, which where definatly the same scammer..... Funny, once I commented in my journal about his (Pretty sure they where written by a male) lack of intelect, the scam mails stopped comming.

Block, delete, forget!

Not related, but not everyone in Alaska speaks English as their first language. As far as I know, there are still many native peoples who speak their language first and English second.

You people are no fun.

Go to your local library with a six pack of beer, and spend the entire evening entering spurious information into them.

You could always try things like names of government officials at .us.gov, names of foreign nationals, reply name on the web site,  support or webmaster at their web site link, etc.

The only way to defeat phishing expeditions is to make it too expensive for them to make a profit doing it.

Enjoy!

Worth bearing in mind, perverse. Still, it is definitely 'off'.

I believe this is why he questions the message:

If an email is not written wher I can understand it, I delete it. Not that difficult. Delete, report as SPAM if it looks like it was sent to random people and shows the person did NOT read your profile.
