If a gentleman needs to be told that he ought to be aquainted with a good tailor, he is no gentleman.

I'm digging your haircut man but the skinny tie is a little....I dunno. If you really want to go that route, I suggest scouring Etsy.com for vintage men's clothing. Just the other day I picked up a Versace sport coat from the mid 80s for a song. Now the problem with Etsy is that if you order clothing, you're going to have to have it altered almost as a matter of course, so you want to find yourself a good tailor. Of course you should always know a good tailor anyway because, along with a decent shrink and a skilled pro Dominatrix, knowing a good tailor in your area can be crucial to helping you get through the inexorable vicissitudes of this crazy postmodern life.

In general, keep up the good work and stay strong! Always move forward never sleep, like a shark, bro!

You mean pinkos are either a) serial killers b) drug dealers or c) associated with organized crime?

Well...I can see c being true in the sense of socialism being theft, but Im surprised you would admit that!

I think the reason people are so serious here is the same as everywhere else. It all boils down to the biggest ill of all society, insecurity and lack of self esteem. Certainly there are plenty of wannabe alphas who like to have pissing matches to prove their "domness" which only proves the contrary, but on the submissive side too you see a lot of it.

But I see this in corporate America as well. The more confident a person is, the less they have to prove, the more comfortable they are in their own skin and resultantly, the more they can not only laugh and play more, but they more they can laugh at themselves as well. Typically, too, the more sense of self esteem or confidence a person has, the more a person's sexuality or other definable points are simply a single dimension of a complex character.

By contrast, when people are lacking in self esteem they tend to cling to a particular single trait or aspect of themselves and make that what they are known for or in many cases what they beat the, "I feel persecuted because of" drum for. But then I find that almost comical, because it becomes very much like Spy vs. Spy....always trying to one up each other, and I can only laugh knowing they must be a neurotic mess gasping for rest at the end of the day..or at least another dose of Prozac.

Why do 90% of new posters here have the audacity to think they can sit in judgement of others activities?

It has never stopped you. You have the most ridiculous and audacious thoughts out here.

I don't know cause I am think'n his last haircut was about puberty. Oh and stay post 60's at Etsy.com or you may be stuck with leftover Zoot suits which would require extraordinary tailoring skills. But eh...what's in a suit ? It's what's inside that counts and in that vain...come here with a sense of the variety that Internet, kinky, dating sociology offers and have a few laughs.

I see the kinkosphere as an addition to my happy, pleasurable life. You see it could be that the presumption must be that you have a life outside of here and that's also a good part of what they want to see...and feel.

Just came back to check the thread, and all I got were defensive posts via sarcasm, with angry under tones, obviously spearheaded from resentment from the offense of claiming most of you are lame, which, you naturally felt, and naturally wanted to defend.

I get it.  I don't care, but I get it :)  I basically walked into a Treky Con, got on the mic and asked why 90% you all still live at home with your parents, or why you've never had sex.

I get it.  It's cool.  I'm not mad.  Some of you are a little cheesed, but, whatever; I'm good.

I, simply, should have known better.  And yes, I'm fullyaware that this post, at this point, will set off another chain reaction of even more sarcastic responses lined with resentment.  That's great.  Really.  I really mean it.  That's completely fine, and, completely warranted.  And I'm okay with it.  It's cool.  I get it.  The tone of this message, just in case you've been reading it with a harsh tone, is just really chill and laid back.  I get it, aaand, it's all good--well, for me anyway.  Some of you might get upset.  Again, that's fine.  Not my emotions, I don't control them.

So to conclude, thank you all, because you actually did answer my question.  All the responses, up until this point (I didn't read any of them, but, I'd say about... hmmm--%90 of them, were defensive) actually answered my question.  So thank you.  I now know, what I know, NOW, about this subculture; it is what it is.  Aaand, whatever.  Iss coo.

So I guess... um, flame away?  Sure.  Maybe I will come back, but I probably won't, but if I do I'll be sure to make myself a Singapore Sling, sit back and just enjoy the venting.

Thank you

PS:  I did want to address one thing actually.

Why does me being a new user, or, a first time poster effect the weight, or, the importance of my opinion?

What if I was in the scene for 8 years, and I just discovered CM.  Or how about, what if I've been on CM before, and I just changed my user name (as to not be overly serious) AS WELL AS, me being in the scene for 8 years.

Just 'cause I decided to venture over to the messaging boards, my question doesn't taken seriously.  If that's actually the reason... well, thank you for flaming.  Because you actually answered my question :)

Don't bother for our sake... And while you're gone we lame people just have some fun, while you feel superior sucking lemons.

That wasn't defensive, that was actually said with a smug smile and no sympathy for a little pimply boy who honestly thinks he got to us... Now excuse me, I think I want to have some really wild kinky sex, maybe a bottle of wine with my other half, I know it sounds pretty lame to you but if you would try it, you might just like it, and yes, it makes a difference if your partner isn't inflatable and you're not all alone and scared, give it a try...
