About a year ago I looked all of them up on google to see what they looked like and what they were up to. I read the books when I was a kid too. Peter Ostrum was the bestest Charlie Bucket ever. I doubt anyone could play that character as well as he did. He had such a sweet quality about him

The remake was fun, but to enjoy remakes you kinda have to let go of your attachment to the original

I always watch the original when it's on TV. And I have it on DVD too. Never saw the remake, just not interested in it. It's up top there in my all time faves with Blazing Saddles and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Thanks for posting this Greedy. Made for a fun read. [:)]
