I have to report that the rapture here has started with a hail of birdsong intended to drive us mad. However we are strong and shall resists god's attempts to subjugate us, yes because we have the right dare I say the need to survive. We will not give up without a fight and plans to eliminate the birdsong has already begun by the means of weapons grade double glazing.

It's 5.42 pm here in Sydney now.

In exactly 20 minutes, Camping is going to be proved wrong again. Has the fool no sense of shame?

Umm, the "fool's" church is sitting on a $72 Million bankroll according to reports.

According to one late night comedian Camping is 89 years old. For him the end is not too far off.

Let's hope that one of Camping's deluded followers gets real for long enough to go and see a lawyer and sue the idiot for every last earthly cent they can get out of the fraudster and his con operation.

Then theres the Earth Firsters, and the Reverend Al Gore...

You forgot the Jehovah's Witnesses. They have been predicting Armageddon since 1914. Then it was to be in 1975. I'm not sure what their current date is.

It's depressing how it's becomes common perception that the environmental movement started and ends with Al Gore. Back in the late eighties we were crushing cans for Blue Peter, those were the days we all had magnets to test for aluminium.

Jesus...back in the early seventies, we were warned about global cooling and we all stopped by cans with flourocarbins.  Of course, wasn't it Teddy Roosevelt that set more acreage aside for public parks than any other president?

"started and ends with Al Gore"

It doesn`t really. That`s just neo-con ignorance and jealousy.

I`m just so glad he invented the internetz.

Where would we be without it?

Let's face it, conservatives like Sanity could care less that the majority of climatologists agree about climate change. They dont care that the oceans are so polluted that there are dead zones covering thousands of square miles in the oceans.

Sanity and his ilk could care less that there are places in the United States where chemical dumping has created areas so dangerous that living there would be suicide with the high incidence of cancer and birth defects.

And yet again... another leftist who cant post without throwing in at least one ad hominem

At least this one got slightly creative and married his ad hominem fallacy to a strawman fallacy

Global cooling consensus in the 70s. More horseshit brought to you by yet another rat-wanker who is too lazy to research the truth.

They leave me alone these days

Could be the devil music I like to play at deafening levels, could be the maniacal look I show them or the satanic voice I use as I open the door for them

Who knows

Anyway

Theyre just fun to me, if ever they do show up

Just saw your edit

No, the Jehovahs Witnesses dont try to force you to buy fifty dollar GE light bulbs, with part of the proceeds going to the Obama reelection campaign

They dont turn food into fuel, denying poor people around the globe nourishment

They dont purposely drive the price of gasoline and other energy sources up, causing  harm to a quarter of the nations families

Etc etc etc

They just knock on your door occasionally, offering a you chance to entertain yourself for a few minutes

In my case, they knock perhaps once every twenty years...
