I am a pro, and safety to me is more important then any fun one can have and I think if you encorporate it into playtime it shouldn't be a problem. But some try to get away from it. But I am a firm believer and I will not waver. Also being a Dominatrix I feel I feel it's my responsibility to set the scene, and keep it safe. In my arsonal, I have both latex and non latex gloves. Condoms for insertables and such and plastic wrap for queening and biting. And you would not believe the excuses I hear to not use any of these items...right. My motto however is if I harm my toy today, I can't play with it tomorrow. lol lol So anyone who sessions with me, it will be wrapped or it won't be tapped.

AS far as necessary and a bit beyond..Keeping them safe is tops on my list ..B

Since I don't do casual and I'm in a long time relationship it's not even a concern anymore. When I first begin dating and we 're still new to each other however, protection is a necessity. I think in this day and age it's pretty much common sense. Anyone who doesn't want to use it I look at them as just being idiots and wondering if they were raised in a cave but that's my opinion.

I absolutely agree 100%. safer sex, every time, all the time. Even with my (now ex) wife of 14 years--we always used condoms, gloves and dams. (and I'm glad we did. she cheated on me...then had sex with me days before telling me the marriage was over.)

[:)] I recall you mentioning it once or twice ;) To the OP: Actually when it comes to insertables, I'm not so keen on the condom solution, simply because when you buy them in bulk they are fairly cheap and I rather throw one of those little bullets or a dildo out and not worry at all. In case you are having a lot of regulars, also small drawers with their scene names (amazing how many Peter's and Steve's are in the scene...) and keeping their insertables in them. Check with he whole seller or the manufacturer for discounts, if you still think it's too expensive, ask the regulars if they would like their own toys that are used only for their personal use!

Safety is one of the reasons i like to see a professional. Most of them take safety very seriously. A submissive is going to put themselves in situations that could be dangerous with strangers or those who are inexperienced. If i am going to be bound, gagged, and tortured, i want the one doing it to know exactly what they are doing and how to keep a sub safe
