ORIGINAL: juliaoceania There are many sites that would not appreciate anything I have to say, where 99.9 percent of the crowd that frequents a board would flat out either ignore my ass, ban me, or flame me. I tend to avoid such places. If the topic is, lets say, Gorean slavery, my input ain't going to be accepted (it wasn't when I tried to post there anyways). If the site is freerepublic.com, they are going to probably ban me because I do not share their goals. I wonder why people would post abuse here because it isn't the site for them. I mean, seriously, not everywhere in the world is the right place for us. If people from a certain group don't click with us, maybe that is the cue we should look for a place that works. Some people have a very short tolerance level for any sense that they maybe rejected. It angers them deeply. I can feel some sympathy for such feelings, but it begs the question, why not find some place to be accepted? If I went on a right wing site and posted my views of reality, I would not be surprised if people went off on me. Is it right? I dunno, but it is reality. Not everyone on this site likes me, accepts me, and many on P&R flame me. There are enough people here I like communicating with that it doesn't matter as to my decision to remain on this site and contribute. I either block those who I feel do not contribute anything positive to my experience here, or I don't. If the entire board skewered me, I would probably find somewhere more conducive to my posting style, etc. Hehehe, I know Gor is popular with some, but I regard it as the BDSM equivalent of Scientology. Over on FL, I'm a member of a Progressive group where most of the posters are rabidly anti-Israel. I stay out of those discussions, as my experiences at both Dachau and Der Haus der Wannsee-Konferenz have pretty much crystallized my sympathies (however, I am not anti Palestinian, I want that understood. I think Tweakabelle has an idea of where I stand). I note that the Progressive groups are much more tolerant of reactionary viewpoints than vice-versa. On two of the right-wing groups, no dissent is tolerated. Closet Fascists, they are. I have seven or eight posters here blocked because they are either psychotic, too far gone in their Limpballs/Beckerhead alternate universe to ever admit that they might be wrong, or just plain assholes. I'll bet I'm on block too, with is fine with me. I'm with ya, honey.
