I came here many years ago with a biker movie and we stopped a war. Now, it’s about starting the world. “I prefer to not to use the words, 'let’s stop something’. I prefer to say, 'let’s start something, let’s start the world’.

Wow. Sounds like Fonda's gone Hunter S. Thompson. If I were one of his kids, I'd ban him from seeing his grandchildren for that.

Did you notice his reference to the haves and have-nots? Obama is a sterling example of the American Dream - he started off the son of a broke single mother and worked his ass off to get educated and become POTUS. Fonda's not differentiating between born-rich and become-rich. To blast the upward mobility vital to The American Dream.... the guy is completely clueless.

Pretty fanciful notion Easy Rider, which he wasn't that good in anyway (go Jack!), played a significant part in ending the Viet war.

He also said: “There’s no room any more for a cissy and, like I said, don’t forget that I’ve got grandsons who I’ve trained with long-distance rifles. We have to run like mofos to change this world.” - guess he's raising hs grandsons to be new men, the type Jane the Pain would appreciate!

So hang on, not wishing to disagree with any of the righteous kicking Fonda's received for this line of shit, but...

Why is Sanity whining about somebody saying that they'd like to see the Kenyan shot? Does he feel that this is unconscionable because Fonda's ostensibly a lefty, or is he just narked that somebody's stolen Chuck Norriss' bullshit argument?

Presumably, Fonda is still a liberal (even if he's lost his mind) so whatever he says must be bad, even if it's something Sanity would agree with if a reactionary was saying it.
(Which, now I think about it, isn't far removed from the whole of his attitude to the Kenyan's chimp impersonation ever since he got into office three years back...)

He didnt say anything about taking up arms against BO himself. He warned of the potential for armed conflict because of BO's policies.
