I've had a bit of a fantasy brewing for some time about making a suit with a built in harness into which two people can lock themselves for a period of time, a couple of days or more perhaps. The suit would have to be breathable, possibly made of leather and the harness would have to be secure but allow enough movement and access to go to the toilet and to move about the house (albeit rather awkwardly). I have a sort of an idea about sewing together two leather suits with about the same arm and leg length as a shorty wetsuit. The suits would be joined together round the chest area down to about the belly button allowing for some flesh contact but with a separate general area with zips necessary to make going to the toilet possible. The harness could then pass over the shoulders, around the body and be secured to loops around the top of the legs. I was wondering if anybody had any ideas about this or if this is a fantasy which any ladies might be interested in.

Would the people always only be facing each other, or could they choose to face away from one another or towards each other, in the same suit? And would they need to be about the same height, or else have it tailored?

They'd have to remain facing each other the whole time, the harness would allow for a small amount of movement (perhaps a few inches) up or down so as each could get their arms round one another and they could sit facing each other, one on the others lap and vice versa. Also, there would have to be enough play in the necks of the suit that they could get their heads cheek to cheek or they might end up with very sore necks after a few days in it. On the height and size thing I think the two would have to be close to the same size and shape but there would be some margin, perhaps two or three inches ether way on the height (eg a 5' 6" person with a 5' 9" or 5' 3" person). The suit wouldn't have to be too tight because the harness could be adjusted to take up the slack so some variation in body type could be accommodated. The whole thing with this is the crossing of personal space boundaries, being kept very close together for a long period of time with no break. The whole thing should keep two people pressed together as closely as possible but not so tightly that it shuts off the circulation. The keys to the harness can be kept in a special locking box, I've already made one of these, it has two spring loaded solenoids inside retaining two identical keys, two in case one malfunctions. The keys are held above an internal shaft with a hole at the bottom and a one way door which prevents something being pushed in to grab the keys before the time is up. Inside the box are three timer switches, each as a back up to the others in case of malfunction, the two keys unlock the box and allows access to the keys within which lock whatever device you are locked into. Once locked into the suit, no matter what, they would be stuck together until the time runs out, no matter how much they want to get away at times they can't, they're there for the duration.

Bad idea... tie yourselves up in the suit by all means, but make sure you can get out as quick as possible if needed

It wouldn't work for me personally because there is no one in this world i would want to be that close to for that amount of time and face to face would mean bad breath and days would mean bowel movements. Nope wouldn't work here but i could see your plan working for the right people. Good luck =)

Sounds very uncomfortable. You can't sit down. You can't lie down without compressing an arm. And I don't think my bowel movements need to be shared. I'll pass.

I think it could be done. Sort of like one of those baby carriers where they sit in front of your chest. Rig it so the shorter of the two is slightly under the taller's head, then have their legs stick out so the knees end at about waist level. Should be able to have the taller one sit or lay down on their back(though bathroom issues may result from extended periods of this). Hmmm... Suppose an easier method for the two people would be to rig some sort of stationary version to one of those electric wheel chairs. Could compound the torture by have two joysticks (one for each person) that have to be pointed in the same direction in order to move the cart.

I suppose just not giving them the food/water is too much torture, though that would be the easiest solution. In my suggestion above, their arms and faces would not really be impaired. They could just pick up food and eat it. You could also pipe it in, I suppose.
