Wish I had a spare room.  But at least I went from a bachelor/studio apartment to a one bedroom.  I do have more room but I also have too much stuff and I've already pared down.  Annnnnnnnnnd I have a storage unit that's full, it still has to be emptied and sent here.  At least this time I'll get pro movers who'll do the job right and put boxes where they belong.  Going to wait until I have this load unpacked before I have that truck sent over.  I iz smart dat way. [;)]

I'd say it's not a case of them letting you take pics, it's a case of you taking the pics.  They did lose the bet after all.
So, I have two grown men hiding from me the last two days. I have dresses picked out, and all...

I just texted both, there is running, but the hiding will end. M

tiggerspoohbear -> RE: Linnaeas' Threadjacking Thread! (6/15/2011 5:17:58 AM)

They can run, but they can't hide!!!!! [:D]  Ya think they'd learn that hiding makes it soooooooooooo much worse.  [8D]

anyone know the best way to root a rubber plant?  Mine is getting seriously droopy, and needs to be trimmed.. dunno if water rooting or soil rooting is the way to go...

tiggerspoohbear -> RE: Linnaeas' Threadjacking Thread! (6/16/2011 4:42:01 PM)

Would love to help you Greedy, but I always end up killing the damn things.  But since it's part of the cactus family, I'd say soil rooting would be best.

I got my first houseplant today.  My dad's g/f started it for me and brought it over.  Now if I can find where the damn thing went since it needs to be watered.  Figures, if I can lose it, then I've indeed lost it.  Went out for Chinese food tonight with my her and my dad, OMFG I was a pig and had two heaping plates.  I don't even have room for my fortune cookie.  But boyoboy was the food great.  So  yay for good Chinese Food and now beginning to understand my way around town.

I've also learned, once again, that I should never do any kind of work with my dad, especially when it comes to putting stuff up.  He tells me to get the hell out of the way but then complains that I'm not there to help him with it.  Make up my mind wouldja?  [>:]

SexyBossyBBW -> RE: Linnaeas' Threadjacking Thread! (6/16/2011 9:09:29 PM)

I'd love to help, but I'm a bit of a plantkiller. Hope someone who knows this comes along soon, to help. M

tiggerspoohbear -> RE: Linnaeas' Threadjacking Thread! (6/17/2011 5:58:54 AM)

Don't know if this'll help Greedy, but I did find this website: http://houseplants-care.blogspot.com/2006/07/rubber-plant-care.html.  Seems to have some good advice on the care of your rubber plant.

Charnegui -> RE: Linnaeas' Threadjacking Thread! (6/17/2011 8:40:10 AM)

There is a powder you can get that you can dip your trimmings in, then stick them in the potting mix. Keep the potting mix damp and you should have new baby rubber trees in no time.

I had a prayer plant for over 23 yrs.  My idiot ex finally killed it by leaving it outside on a frosty night.  Oooohhhh was I pissed.  That plant had followed me through about 13 moves and was gorgeous.  I'm going to Wal-Mart tomorrow to see if I can find another baby one.
