What about cocaine?

I remember when I said that some people felt they should have the right to do drugs (any illegal drug, not just crack) your reply was that some people feel they should have the right to commit murder. You also made a big deal out of the fact that people under the influence can kill someone.

Now, suddenly, it's Obama that's used cocaine, and not a faceless theoretical person, and you're all like "meh no big" and your only concern is that "Palin used it too"?

Unbelievable. Or rather, absolutely, heartbreakingly believable.

Fox News is just a symptom and you have the disease too.

Status: offline 		First of all, Obama is hardly the first prominent politician to acknowledge youthful indiscretions involving illegal drugs. Fourteen years ago, Bill Clinton easily survived his discussions of smoking marijuana, and drew far more criticism for his dodgy, weasel-words regarding his experience ("I smoked, but I didn't inhale") than for his one-time exposure to the demon weed.

Al Gore also admitted to dope indulgence (and reportedly became a heavy user at Harvard, which may help explain the spectacularly weird workings of his mind) as did Newt Gingrich and John Kerry. George W. Bush refused to share specifics of his own drug experience beyond a general acknowledgment of a rowdy youth ("when I was young and stupid, I was young and stupid"). Still, he did little to contradict ubiquitous reports of his consumption of booze, marijuana and even cocaine.

Knew you were gonna ask. And this is just the list of those who ran for or became President.

And drug use wasn't the discussion here. It was an illegal act by a man who had yet to become President. Made by someone who has deep hatred and extreme racial prejudice against Obama.

I wont bring up that other argument again except to say the word "crack" kept coming up and that was one of the drugs I objected too. I do recall mentioning that if you keep it in your home, I could care less what you do. Im sure you will be able to find that post.

He was correct, though. Obama's drug use in college was illegal.

FWIW Sarah Palin wasn't the discussion here either. The line of thought that had you introduce her into the conversation is cancer. Chemo that shit for the good of your country. Please.

I am lamenting the fact that the US has turned into a sick, crippled excuse of a representative government where the citizens empowered to vote treat politics like a game of red vs. blue.

I'm being harder on you because, at least on this subject, I agree with you. I expect more from the side I agree with than the side I've written off as hopeless.

If I block you because I don't like the way you post, I'm giving up on you too. I'm not yet cynical enough to give up on everyone. I'm hoping at least one side will snap out of this travesty of democracy.

And it's possible to be both cheap and honest.

I also pointed out the drug use of many politicians, on both sides of he isle, in the link I provided. I also pointed out the drug use of Presidents and Presidential hopefuls from both parties.

If you are going to point it out for one, then do so for all.

It's one thing to say...Yes Obama did drugs. Many politicians have smoked marijuana. Here is a list: (link to that wiki page)

It's another to say...Yes (the democrat) did drugs. We should point out to (the republican) that (the go to icon for criticizing the right) did drugs too. Because that is fair and balanced. Tit for tat, left for right, eye for eye, whatevs.

And I didn't tell you how to post. I told you how you could have posted instead.
