Man..I tell u what?!?!? This lifestyle isnt getting good publicity! There was the Domme who cut up her client....later...theres a slave who went to jail for embezzlement-he basically stole money from his company to pay his Domme(got 5 years) and now..theres this foot fetish dood who approached many Black women..bowing..kissing..licking their feet n legs(up to 70 women)....I kinda hate to see whats next..altho the Domme who hacked her client...dont think it can get much worse than that.

Thats why this lifestyle doesn't get good publicity.... the only ones that truly take it public are the freaky bastards that just hurt people or do things that are.... well... freaky.

Those of us that are actually somewhat natural, go and work a 9 to 5'er, come home to a cooked dinner and a warm slave at night.... we never get any recognition, and honestly.... when I think about it.... I don't need any. I'm perfectly content with My life of obscurity.

It is the same with everything when you think about it.  You do not hear about all the houses that did not burn down.  You do not hear about the good in Iraq and Afghanistan.  You do not read about good government policies.  This does not sell papers and advertising.  People are miserable and like to see that someone else is worse off than themselves.  They get off on it.  It makes them feel somehow better about themselves.

Besides, I do not think that the lifestyle wants publicity.  I think the reason many people relish it is because it is obscure.

Sheesh, all of that good PR that most of us try to give this lifestyle seems to be going down the toilet because of a few nutscases and criminals. No wonder vanilla have a tendancy to look at us kinda like we are nuts or something, ok we are in some regards, bu thats beside the point.

Just as SirKenin said, it's the extremes that get attention.  The whacked out, batshit crazy nutjobs get all the attention, the merely insane get ignored.  On the other hand, I think if vanillas knew we were putting bamboo skewers through people's nipples - consensually - they would not love, nor understand, us more.

That's the nature of this.  We may be a bit more accepted these days due to the goth/punk obsession with handcuffs, but we will never be understood by the masses.  Their problem, not mine.

Yeah, but you can just bank on the people giving out the licenses being stupid too, so you won't be allowed to breed.  I on the other hand, will be allowed to have my 45 children.

It goes back to the saying, 'you need a license to drive but not to have kids.' Makes no sence to me. [:)]

Would we have to take classes [sm=bust.gif] and pass a test to get a breeding license, or is it just something where you would send in your money every so many years if you wanted to have kids?

Oh there'd be whole classes you'd have to take and pass.  Parenting classes, psych evaluations...

I like that!  Weed them out!  But we'd have to make it very efficient and very permanent, like poisoning the world's supply of microwave food.  Otherwise, they'll just breed to keep their population up, and the work will never end!

i remember when this happened.  i'd been on line for several years, and made lots of good friends.  For a while the story made everyone skittish, at the very least.  While i don't dwell too much about on-line safety when i'm talking with someone, once a first meeting is arranged my sense of self-preservation kicks into high gear -- in large part because of this (and similar) stories.

A reminder is always appreciated...
