LOL. My cat washes me- and climbs on me- so she is ok- with me -- being close to her. I guess I never thought that the ears would be hotter. Our our the same temp or cooler even.

It's because the blood vessels are closer to the surface of the skin. And you can do the experiment with your fingers you know.[:D]
