Women have them too, they just aren't usually as prominent. It's where cartilage that protects the voicebox meets in the front of the neck. The cartilage grows faster in adolescence in males, and meets at a sharper angle in the front (and therefore protrudes more) than it does in females. LetsPlayDoctorCali
