Hey nrrrdgrrrl, I picked up a couple of books, and read them; did a lot of introspection, figuring what I wanted, within a relationship, than found some friends who were involved in live events in my area. Thanks for the welcome :) I have been petrified to really act on things I've thought of outside that select friend. I tend to think too highly of what others say, I guess. But, since he's tapped into my... other side, my fantasies are getting darker. I'm not sure if it's a good thing or not, but I guess I can't really put them back :) So, what if I've done years of research. I've been interested in BDSM for... 8 years now? Just too scared to act. I'm kind of at a loss of what's next, but I think I finally want to take the next step.

I've never been to a group, but after it was suggested by DarkSteven, I looked it up. There's one I guess I can check out although I'm nervous to do so alone.
