I'm a newbie domme in every sense of the word. Until about two years ago I was 100% sub...I'm pretty quiet in person, and I had a tendency to attract super loud (and to be honest, horribly arrogant) guys. I was still new to the whole thing and didn't think that I 'deserved' to be in charge (something I think my previous partners made a point of grinding into me) . Then I met my partner! He was so hesitant to ask, but when he finally got out that he was submissive and wanted me to domme for him, even if it was just once, I said "sure." I figured hey, what the hell- nothing to lose, and maybe it would be fun. What I did not expect was that whole worlds would open for me in the space of an hour. I will never be a sub again! Since then I've been lurking this site (and a couple of others) as a non-member, to see what I can see. I want to be a better domme so we can both enjoy ourselves more, and I figure the only way to learn is to observe.

As for why I hadn't joined prior to this...well...I'm pretty sure it would be really awkward to run into your little sister at a BDSM site, and there's a good chance that mine is active here.

I finally decided that was a silly reason to deprive myself of potential friends and help (this thread may or may not have pushed me along in that decision), and registered.

Someone earlier said it's good to ask questions, so I'll ask my own. I'm not really interested in having other people in on my relationship with my partner...at least not yet. We've talked about introducing others at a later time, though. Are munches a good thing even if you aren't interested in a more public relationship?

Definitely. You can learn many things, by attending munches, or group meets; because they may lead to play party invitations, and those are great learning opportunities.

I'm not at all a newbie to Collarme or the Boards, but I just discovered I'm actually a switch instead of 100% submissive. I've done some Topping and so on recently and I'm like WOW, why didn't I do this sooner? lol Daddy is tutoring me in my new-found switchiness and I'm corresponding with a man who will be my sub. I've been considering this in my mind for quite some time, and now I know for sure. The realization hit me two days ago and I just changed my profile to switch, so I'm about as newbie to the Domme side of things as one can get.

I'm certainly not new to CM or my switchyness. However, I don't really post much here, even though I pretty much know who all of you are. I just started posting on FL in the Sub Men & Women who love them group. I have had a few sub females in the past, but most of them were "shared" with DB.

Now, I have my own male sub, all for me. In a sense, it feels a little bit like I'm "new" or at least "new" to being completely free with how I want things to be. I feel very happy that I'm already established in my local scene, and will be getting to know some of the more experienced ladies there. But, I'm always glad to know that you all are here, too.
