Can we get away with the excuse, "But I thought he wanted me to? It seemed to be consensual! I told him if he didn't stop I was going to cut it off. He didn't stop, so I assumed he agreed that it was okay."

Ok, let's say you are right and he wasn't there to rape her. Why was he in her bed in the middle of the night with his dick hanging out? Was he sleep walking? I don't know that anyone deserves to be mutilated like that, especially in a case of he said/she said like this is. Was he really in her bed naked, or was he in his own, and she attacked him? There's no way for us to know.

I think men take a lot of blame, and acts that people consider to be acceptable when committed against men (as retribution, self defense, or whatever) are seen as reprehensible when committed against women. I know it's a little bit tangential, but a pet peeve of mine. Makes me think of this little gem of a psycho rant. Can you imagine that song being sung by a man?

Except she was asleep. In her home. And he had apparently been harassing her for 6 months. Perpetrators are typically considered "alleged" until actually convicted. The penis will be used as evidence here.

And the police said he will be arrested "once his condition gets better."

Are the odds that this is a false accusation?
