Leaked Emails Show Tip To Breitbart About Weiner Tweet

Breitbart began to raise suspicions on his own Twitter feed about Wolfe's involvement in the incident in recent days, calling on him to come forward about his role, and is currently linking to a post on his Big Government website that questions whether @patriotusa76 did, in fact, hack Weiner's account.

With that as background, The Smoking Gun published emails today from Dan Wolfe, AKA "patriotusa76," at least one of which listed Breitbart as a recipient. In the first email, Wolfe tips off Breitbart to the screengrab as well as key details of the story and promises at the end that "we have more."

In the second email, Wolfe appears agitated and warns that he will be in big trouble if unspecified details about his role in the incident leak:

I think that Anthony Weiner is not completely up on technology, and he's afraid of accidentally implying his own guilt. I got the impression from his last interview with Rachel Maddow that he seems to think that the photo could have been taken and perverted from an existing photo. I think he sees Photoshop as a form of wizardry, and he's afraid to give a definite "no" because he's afraid that tech savy people might prove him wrong and then he'll look like a liar. But let's step beyond this for a second..

Breitbart is a professional character assassin. About a month ago in an interview he was asked if he saw the whole Shirley Sherrod tape before he went public with it. He admitted on tv that he had NOT seen entire thing. Why? Because he didn't feel the need to watch it because it already fit the narrative he was looking for. This looks like the same thing. He didn't care to make sure this story was legit because it already had what he was looking for.

This is just an attempt to marginalize a congressman through scandal and character assassination. And even if you're a conservative, there's got to be the barest molecule of reason that knows that is the truth.
