This is why health care and medical care needs to be taken out of the for-profit,buy-sell-resell-trade modality.Or at the very least,a public option, so the choice isn`t between living and dying but between public or private insurance. Someone who`s going to make a bit more on their margin, just may not care how it happens or who gets hurt. Cons seem to scream and cry about government bureaucrats making life and death decisions but seem ok with private for-profit company bureaucrats making those decisions. Little do those cons realize that it`ll be a government bureaucrat who helps them get care after their private HIP fucked them over.

Absolutely Owner59. Your post is spot on. Healthcare is about people and their needs, not dollars in profits for mega-rich vipers like Schwarzman. Who could sleep at nights if their relatives were under the dubious care of an animal like Schwarzman? Avaricious bloodsuckers like him make Gordon Gecko seem as menacing as Pogo the clown. What a disgusting waste of human being.

People or profit that is what it all comes down to, the care of people or the care of money. Sadly I feel the latter appears to be more important is this so called modern world, just like it has always been, we have not progressed much at all. My ideal is a poorer country where everyone is happy and as a country with happy and more or less content people in it, it can only move forward and become richer, whereas on the other hand inequality only breeds malcontent and reluctance to progress.The sharks in a pond scenario which we have now and is indicated by this article only cause malcontent and ill health, whilst the sharks get away with the prize.

Where are the usual suspects claiming that if the banksters don't get their way, and if doctors cannot maximize income, we will end up with 'Canadian' healthcare?

Problem with it, as nasty as it is, it isn't illegal. Healthcare as it is, is BIG BUSINESS, and there is plenty of money made in the process of investing and selling the services and facillities. Horrible example of greed at it's worst.
