I have often said that a sub or slave is a greedy creature...needing deeply on many levels. To posses one, a Dom/me must be prepared to utilize this need to learn and control their one. All of this is done through communication...setting tasks, rules and of course caring....an often overlooked facet on both sides

I can't think of any instance where I would be annoyed if my slave wanted attention from me. If she was being punished, or was interrupting me at my work I guess would qualify.
But your dilemma is common in long distance relationships. Contact him and tell him how you are feeling.
