I think you handled it fine. This is not the norm at the BDSM parties I've been too. There's usually someone in charge of handling situations like this or someone who would love to step in.
Women should stop worrying about being "rude" to rude people. I was at a naked regatta and this guy kept pestering me. After I told him no politely several times, I yelled at him and he backed off. Several other women thanked me for doing that. (They'd been too polite.) While at the nude beach, my southern girlfriends also have more trouble deflecting unwanted male attention than I do. I'm from MA and served for 4 years in the military.
