I used to fight (modified) broad sword every year in the local Ren Faire.

Actual chain mail an all. But seeing as how I am a girl, lmao, I do not know how authentic that particular reenactment was.

Do please let ,e know when you get up to the Dorchester, ma 1978 period (Reenactors would need car aerials and box cutters. I want to work through some issues I had back in that period[:)]

Cool pic!  My husband used to do Renaissance-style fencing and worked at his local Ren Faire before he moved here.  He's also done Dagorhir, which is more fantasy-based than historical.  Unfortunately, we have two kids so we don't have time anymore.  [:(]

I'm a rennie, and I have a few outfits I wear for that.  Max and I are also historical reenactors.  He's been at it for years - Civil War, golden age of piracy, Revolutionary War, Buccaneer, French & Indian, you name it.  I'm starting to get into it with him.  I did some pirate events last year and have a few planned for this summer, and I'll probably branch out and do F&I with him soon.  Max really wants to do Soviet Partisan also.
