A simple question. During those times when you are being a touch bratty, or a little bit too willful, on a stroppy mood or generally not behaving in the way that is expected of you as a slave, What is the single word from your Dominant that will stop you dead in your tracks and make you comply immediately? Also. What is the effect that word when used in that context has on you emotionally, mentally and physically?

Not a word. He'll put his hand up in the classic Stop signal. I stop. As far as what I feel, depends on how I felt about what I was doing.

Even in my vanilla relationships, I habitually addressed my partner as "girl". And obviously I do that with my submissive. So when I address her by her full christian name in a formal and enquiring tone (Catherineeee...?), yeah, usually stops 'em dead - and the eyes aren't sure where to look - which doesn't help her plight - or my demeanour.... lol Oi, I'm over here! Focus.

another with no words....he just gets quiet and basically ignores me and gives me a look. That's all I need to know he's had enough. If any words it's a simple "ENOUGH" in a bold and and to the point manner.

I would not know since I am not a slave, nor would a single word stop me from speaking my mind. As an adult, I tend to like relationships with people who would just say what was up, such as, ok, you are being _______, what is the problem, let's discuss it. If I encounter someone who just says shut up, stop, holds their hand up or any combination of that...well that does not work for me at all.

(thinks back) "WHAT?" in the right context works pretty well with me. I feel shock, dismay, horror even. I start to breathe faster. And, more importantly, I become much more alert. And then I answer the question.

"Pet." That's it. As soon as I hear it I instantly go silent, stop everything, listen and obey. How I feel depends on the situation. If I am just being bratty I feel instantly expectant and a bit trepidatious, am I going to be punished? Did I go too far? If I am furious and about to say a lot of bad things, it causes me to feel ready to burst with emotion and vehemence. But after the first few seconds of initial, gut-response I always feel secure, calm, and right with my world because it is THE reminder for me that M is in control, I have nothing else to do but leave everything from that point on in His hands and I simply obey and focus myself on His wishes.

~FR~ I know it's not ONE word, but "Black Bag." He has two toy bags, a brown one and a black one, and the BLACK bag is where he keeps the canes and really super-hurty stuff. And that scares the shit outta me. I love to be beat hard with a flogger. A cane? Oh hell no!! Instant compliance. So if it has to be ONE word, it would be "CANE."
