Like you I'm rather cynical about his boasts of academic status. Possibly there's a university not too far from his trailer park residence and he confuses proximity with tenure. In this matter, as in most matters for AZM, (especially telling the truth) it could be that near enough is good enough. This is the only relationship with academia that I am able to conjure up in AZM's case.
He teaches here, they make up their own curriculum

That'd be the only 'university' whose standards would match his. And of course, both of them have the same unswerving devotion to truth, especially on the rare occasions it suits them [:D]
